Abstract

The probabilities of molecular quantum transitions induced by electromagnetic field are expressed as path integrals of a real alternating functional. We propose a new method for computing these integrals by means of recurrence relations. We apply this approach to description of the two-photon Rabi oscillations.

The description of two-photon Rabi oscillations in the path integral approach

Yana Vladimirovna Degtyareva, Alexander Alexandrovich Biryukov, Марк Александрович Шлеенков

The probability of quantum transitions of a molecule between its states under the action of an electromagnetic field is represented as an integral over trajectories from a real alternating functional. A method is proposed for computing the integral using recurrence relations. The method is attached to describe the two-photon Rabi oscillations.

Abstract The probabilities of quantum transitions are described by integrals over trajectories in the space of energy states of a system exposed to an electromagnetic field. A recurrent relationship approach is proposed for numerical calculations of these integrals and for describing two-photon Rabi oscillations.

We obtain equations for the probability of transitions of quantum systems induced by the electromagnetic field using the influence functional approach in path integration formalism. For numerical simulations the probability transition reduces to the integration of a real functional path, that allows us to apply modern methods of numerical integration.

We describe multilevel quantum systems dynamics in electromagnetic fields using the influence functional approach in path integration formalism. We obtain equations for the statistical density matrix and the probability of transitions of quantum systems induced by the electromagnetic field. The explicit form of the quantized electromagnetic field influence functional is concretized. Spontaneous transition of the quantum systems, the Rabi oscillations and their fluctuations are obtained. The two#photon photoelectric effect is explained.
