Instantaneous resonance fluorescence spectrum of a two-level system for an exponential decay of the driving field

Weisi Tan, Weihan Tan, Dongsheng Zhao +1 more

We evaluate the commutation relations and quantum-mechanical Langevin equations satisfied by two-level operators in the case of exponential decay of the driving field. We rewrite the dynamical equation in the form of a difference equation by Laplace transformation. From the solution of the difference equation, the instantaneous resonance fluorescence spectrum is calculated.

The resonance fluorescence of a three-level atom interacted with two high-power laser fields is investigated with strong field approximation. The fluorescence distribution is obtained by means of the theory of dressing transformation.

SPECTRUM OF SPIN-½ SYSTEM DRIVEN BY RESONANT EXPONENTIAL PULSE

Hanan Ali Batarfi

The exact operator solution for a system of a single 2-level atom (spin-1/2 system) driven by a short resonant exponential pulse is used to examine the atomic dynamics and to calculate the time-dependent spectrum of the fluorescent radiation. The spectrum is expressed analytically in terms of the incomplete Gamma funtion (of complex arguments). Computational display of the results are presented for various system parameters.

TWO-PHOTON RESONANCE FLUORESCENCE DISTRIBUTION

PENG JIN-SHENG, 华中师范大学物理系

The two-photon resonance fluoresence distribution of a two-level atom is investigated. The spectrum and intensity distribution off two-photon resonance fluoresence is obtained by a canonical transformation of the Hamiltonian of the system and from the solution of the Heisenberg equations of fluoresence field operators.

The physical spectra of a two-level atom driven by an exponentially-decaying pulse

S Kryszewski

Resonance fluorescence from the two-level atom in the field of a resonant, exponentially-decaying pulse is considered when the spontaneous linewidth may be neglected. The analytical expressions for the physical spectra are given and discussed for any field strength and any pulse decay time. The approximation schemes for large and small pulse areas are presented and illustrated by numerical results. In the latter case line narrowing is obtained, while the former corresponds to the near-adiabatic case.
