TWO-PHOTON RESONANCE FLUORESCENCE DISTRIBUTION

Abstract

The two-photon resonance fluoresence distribution of a two-level atom is investigated. The spectrum and intensity distribution off two-photon resonance fluoresence is obtained by a canonical transformation of the Hamiltonian of the system and from the solution of the Heisenberg equations of fluoresence field operators.

SPECTRUM DISTRIBUTION OF RESONANCE FLUORESCENCE FOR ATOMS IN STRONG MAGNETIC FIELD

PENG JIN-SHENG, HUANG XIANG-YOU, LIU WU +1 more

A theory describing the resonance fluorescance of atoms in strong magnetic field is proposed. A general expression of spectrum distribution for this resonance fluorescence is given and the relation between the spectrum and the magnitude of the magnetic field is examined.

THE STATE FUNCTION OF RESONANCE FLUORESCENCE FIELD AND THE MANY-PHOTON TRANSITION SPECTRUM

TAN WEI-HAN, Weiping Zhang, 中国科学院上海光学精密机械研究所

First, on the base of the correlation function of atoms, we investigate the state function of resonance fluorescence field with one-photon transition and calculate its power spectrum which is totally identical to the Mollow's result. Then, we extend the method to the calculation of resonance fluorescence spectrum with two-photon transition. The results exhibit characteristics different from the one-photon transition.

RESONANCE FLUORESCENCE SPECTRUM OF TWO-LEVEL ATOM IN CONSIDERATION OF SELF-REACTION

LIU REN-HONG, TAN WEI-HAN, 中国科学院上海光学精密机械研究所,上海,201800

In this paper, the resonance fluorescence spectrum of two level atom is investigated under the influence of both the driving field and the emission field from the atom itself. Some new features are revealed. The most important one the disappearence of the central peak resulting from the vacuum Rabi splitting, and the presence of the new central peak resulting from the interaction between side peak and self emission at the same time.

The Heitler and Ma approach to resonance fluorescence of N two-level atoms in a weak electromagnetic field

R. Pyzalski

The spectral intensity distribution of resonance fluorescence radiation emitted by N two-level atoms is calculated for the case of a weak electromagnetic field. Using these results the spectrum is discussed in terms of the number of atoms, their localisation and the orientation of the transition dipole moments. It is shown that the spectrum can be expressed as a sum of Lorentzian lines only in some specific cases. The general condition describing these cases is given.
