Abstract

In order to solve the damage problem during remote transmission of quantum signaling, a repeater model of signaling quantum is proposed. In this model, firstly purifying and distributing entanglement of the received signaling quantum state is carried out, to establish entangled channels between the signed sending and receiving. Secondly, through quantum entanglement swapping the quantum signaling is transmitted, for completing the quantum signaling relay. Simulation results show that the success rate of signaling relay can reach more than 97% under the condition that the fidelity is 0.98 and the entangled pairs successful establishing rate is 0.98; the throughput of quantum signaling relay is up to 183kbps when the probability of entanglement swapping, purification, and entangled pairs successful establishing is 0.98.

Model and Simulation of Entanglement Signaling Repeater Network Based on Entanglement Swapping

连涛 LIAN Tao, 聂敏 Nie Min

Aiming at the quantum signalling repeater network model for multi-user,environment quantum noises effect on remote transmission of signalling was studied.A kind of quantum signaling repeater strategy was purposed after the theory of quantum swapping being analyzed. Then a bus network model was put forward and the success rate of long distance quantum signaling transmission was simulated. The results show that long distance signaling transmission has a close relationship with the noise power spectral density, transmission distance and repeater times. When noise power spectral density is constant and there is no repeater during the transmission process, the success rate declines like plesio-flat-parabola with increasing of the transmission distance. On the condition of constant noise power spectral density and constant transmission distance, the success rate increases obviously while the repeater times is increasing. Therefore,on the behalf of reliable quantum signaling transmission the transmission distance and repeater times should be designed properly under the circumstance of constant background noise.

The switching strategy and simulation of quantum entanglement signalling

Tao Lian, Min Nie

In order to solve the switching problem of quantum entanglement signalling, a signalling switching strategy was proposed first. And then the signalling switching process under the circumstance that quantum terminal was connected in the same switches and different switches was analysed respectively. We simulated the throughput rate of quantum signalling switches at last. The results show that throughput rate has a close relationship with swapping measurement success rate. The quantum signalling switches throughput rates (QTR) raise exponent-liked with the raising of measurement success rate. The QTR raises as the measurement time reduce on the condition of constant measurement success rate. The measurement time therefore should be less than lus to make sure that QTR of quantum signalling is more 30Mbps.

A Quantum Repeater Based on Entanglement Purification and Entanglement Swapping

We discuss a long-distance quantum communication system based on entangled photon pairs, which apply entanglement as its fundamental resource. For distances longer than the coherence length of a counterpart noisy quantum channel, the fidelity of transmission is ordinarily so low that standard purification processes are not applicable. The quantum repeater stretches the length of the entangled photon pairs. And the high fidelity entanglement of photons between sender and receiver is obtained by entanglement purification and entanglement swapping. We compare the nested repeater with the common repeater and show that it outperforms the latter, which is built an EPR pair in less time.

Relaying Quantum Information

Yigal Ilin, Uzi Pereg

Quantum relays are central to both quantum communication and distributed quantum computing, enabling long-distance transmission and modular architectures. Unlike classical repeaters, quantum repeaters preserve coherence without amplifying quantum information, relying on entanglement swapping and quantum error correction to overcome loss and decoherence. In this work, we investigate the transmission of quantum information via quantum relay channels. Our three-terminal relay model captures the trade-off between repeater-assisted and repeaterless communication strategies. Specifically, we propose a partial decode-forward strategy, in which quantum ``message system" consists of two components. The first component is decoded by the relay and then sent to the destination receiver, whereas the second component is decoded by the destination receiver without the relay's help. We analyze both entanglement-assisted and unassisted scenarios. As a special case, the full decode-forward strategy is recovered, with the relay decoding, re-encoding, and forwarding the entire message. Our framework allows for different entanglement topologies between the transmitter, the relay and the destination receiver, recovering known results on entanglement-assisted and unassisted communication. Furthermore, we discuss the interpretation of coding with quantum side information. These findings provide a foundation for designing secure, efficient, and reliable quantum networks and for realizing practical quantum repeaters and long-range quantum key distribution.

Design and Implementation of Quantum Repeaters: Insights on Quantum Entanglement Purification

Karoki A. Mũgambi, Geoffrey O. Okeng'o

Quantum communication is a groundbreaking technology that is driving the future of information transmission and communication technologies to a new paradigm. It relies on quantum entanglement to facilitate the transmission of quantum states between parties. Quantum repeaters are crucial for facilitating long-distance quantum communication. These quantum devices act as intermediaries between adjacent communication channel segments within a fragmented quantum network, allowing for entanglement swapping between the channel segments. This entanglement swapping process establishes entanglement links between the endpoints of adjacent segments, gradually creating a continuous entanglement connection over the entire length of the transmission channel. The established quantum link can be utilized for secure and efficient quantum communication between distant sender and receiver nodes. This study focuses on quantum entanglement purification, a protocol aimed at maintaining high fidelity entangled states above the operational threshold of the communication channel. This study investigates the optimal stage for executing the purification protocol and applies optimization schemes to evaluate various purification protocols. We use IBM Qiskit for circuit implementation and simulation. The results offer valuable insights into future approaches to implementing practical quantum repeaters and shed light on existing and anticipated challenges.
