Abstract

Most cryptographic work these days have employed mathematical concept to design cryptosystem and algorithm. Therefore mathematical concept has become critical in designing of cryptosystem and generally used to analyze cryptosystem, most algorithm were based on either factorization or discrete algorithm problem. The system has an overtly simple mathematical background and so requires extensive secondary index computation. Therefore a securer method must be developed to protect system security and to optimize system efficiency. Quantum cryptography detects intrusion and wire trapping. In quantum mechanics a wire trap is not external or passive; but the opposite changing its entity according to the intend component of the system. The system changes once a wire trap is detected.

Most cryptographic works these days have employed mathematical concepts to design cryptosystems and algorithms. Therefore, mathematical concepts have become critical in the designing of cryptosystems, and are generally used to analyze cryptosystems and protocols, supporting the allegation that the intended cryptosystem is secure. In earlier cryptosystems, most algorithms were based on either factorization or discrete logarithm problem. This system has an overtly simple mathematical background and so, requires extensive secondary index computation. Therefore, a securer method must be developed to protect system security and to optimize system efficiency.Quantum cryptography detects intrusion and wiretapping. In quantum mechanics, a wiretap is not external or passive, but the opposite-changing its entity according to the internal component of the system. The status of the system changes once a wiretap is detected. Therefore, only the designer of the system can determine the quantum status of the system; eavesdroppers can neither determine the quantum status nor duplicate the system.Since quantum cryptosystem can reach unconditional security, it actually guarantees secure communication.Accordingly, this study examines quantum cryptography and contributes to secure quantum cryptography.

Rajesh Kumar Pateriya, Dr.J.L. Rana, Anupriya Gupta

In the era of information technology the need for secure communication has become increasingly important. Cryptography is a technology for creating the core of information security we use cryptography for making data secure which is the science of information protection from unauthorized interception and tempering. Most modern cryptographic studies design cryptosystems and algorithms using mathematical concepts which are based either on factorization or on discrete logarithm problem. In recent years quantum information research has lead to the discovery of a number of remarkable new paradigms for information processing and communication. These developments include quantum cryptography schemes that offer unconditionally secure information transport guaranteed by quantum-mechanical laws, which provide protection of system security, and optimization of system efficiency and detects intrusion and wiretap. Today quantum cryptography is used in various application for transferring secure data without the fear of keys being compromised. This paper reviews the various areas where quantum  cryptography is successfully implemented, its advantages disadvantages & technical issues.

Quantum Attacks on Modern Cryptography and Post-Quantum Cryptosystems

Zachary Marron

Cryptography is a critical technology in the modern computing industry, but the security of many cryptosystems relies on the difficulty of mathematical problems such as integer factorization and discrete logarithms. Large quantum computers can solve these problems efficiently, enabling the effective cryptanalysis of many common cryptosystems using such algorithms as Shor’s and Grover’s. If data integrity and security are to be preserved in the future, the algorithms that are vulnerable to quantum cryptanalytic techniques must be phased out in favor of quantum-proof cryptosystems. While quantum computer technology is still developing and is not yet capable of breaking commercial encryption, these steps can be taken immediately to ensure that the impending development of large quantum computers does not compromise sensitive data.

Quantum cryptography: Overview, security issues and future challenges

Saptarshi Mitra, Bappaditya Jana, Supratim Bhattacharya +2 more

In recent years Quantum Cryptography gets more attention as well as becomes most promising cryptographic field for faster, effective and more secure communications. Quantum Cryptography is an art of science which overlap quantum properties of light under quantum mechanics on cryptographic task instead of current state of algorithms based on mathematical computing technology. Major algorithms for public key encryption and some digital signature scheme such as RSA, El Gamal cryptosystem, hash function are vulnerable at quantum adversaries. Most of the factoring problem can be broken by Shore's algorithm and quantum computer threatens other hand discrete logarithm problem. Our paper describes why modern cryptography contributes quantum cryptography, security issues and future goals of modern cryptography.

Quantum Cryptography and its Application

Shaurya Singh

Present cryptography algorithms are based on mathematical problem such as factoring two large prime numbers and N vs NP problem. But computing power and evolution in mathematics increases day by day so it’s easy to reverse one way function to quickly such as that of factoring large integers. So the solution is to build a cryptosystem which secure our communication even the computing power is to high so we introduce quantum physics in cryptography which lead to evaluation of quantum cryptography. Quantum cryptography one of the emerging topics in field of computer industry. This paper is an attempt to review fundamentals of quantum cryptography and also analyses few application areas of quantum cryptography and it’s limitation.

Post-Quantum Lattice-Based Cryptography

Aarti Dadheech

Quantum cryptography is a branch of cryptography that is a mixture of quantum mechanics and classical cryptography. The study of quantum cryptography is to design cryptographic algorithms and protocols that are against quantum computing attacks. In this chapter, the authors focus on analyzing characteristics of the quantum-proof cryptosystem and its applications in the future internet. Lattice-based cryptography provides a much stronger belief of security, in that the average-case of certain problems is equivalent to the worst-case of those problems. With the increase in cryptanalytic attacks conventional cryptographic schemes will soon become obsolete. As the reality of quantum computing approaches, these cryptosystems will need to be replaced with efficient quantum-resistant cryptosystems. We need an alternate security mechanism which is as hard as the existing number theoretic approaches. In this chapter, the authors discuss the security dimension of lattice-based cryptography whose strength lies in the hardness of lattice problems and also study its application areas.
