Wave-Particle Duality: A New Look from First Principles

Paul A. Klevgard

Part I looks at duality for the photon; Part II does the same for the electron. The traditional division of kinetic energy between radiation (E = hf) and matter-in-motion (E = 1/2 mv2) is reexamined permitting new insights into duality. \n \nAn in-flight photon displays wave characteristics. Such a photon can interfere with itself and take all available space paths as a wave. In addition, photons pass through one another like waves whereas particles impact each other. It is only when the photon terminates on a material object and gives up its energy – and ceases to be a photon – that particle characteristics appear, namely: 1) the photon is finally space located; and 2) oscillation ceases. This suggests that the photon’s wave and particle nature do not overlap. Understanding photon termination as a release of mass stored, rather than particle impact, permits a better understanding of presumed wave-particle duality for the photon.

Remarks on the Slits Experiments

Jerzy F. Ciosek

The fundamental problem of wave-particle duality is analysed. Many physicists' debates did not answer what are photon, electron and other particles. The two-slit experiment has been interpreted as the simplest way to show the wave-particle duality. Then slits experiments are discussed in detail. We conclude that radiation reacts with electrons as the toroidal-like waves

Hypothesis on the Etheric Spatial Structure of Electrons Exhibiting Wave-Particle Duality

Cheng Jinjun, Chen Dian

Based on previous research, this paper proposes a revolutionary hypothesis about the essence of electrons. The study first draws on the innovative description of the wave-particle duality of photons in "Hypothesis on the Spatial Motion Mode of Photons", combines the theoretical derivation of the possibility of the existence of ether space in "Several Conjectures on the Existence of Ether", and the breakthrough idea of the electron structure model, and creatively puts forward the "Hypothesis on the Ether Space Structure of Electrons". This hypothesis challenges the traditional view in theories that regard electrons as point particles, and argues that electrons are essentially entities with a wave-particle duality/etherspace structure. This study systematically elaborates on the unique ether vortex structure and quantum dynamic behavior of electrons, constructs a brand-new theoretical framework to explainthewave-particle duality of electrons, and provides new understanding theoretical principles of basic particles such as electrons. This theoretical innovation not only helps to deepen the understanding of the essence of electrons, but may also open up new research-paths for unifying quantum mechanics and classical physics
