Abstract

The quantitative description of the quantum correlations between each two-level system in a two-atom system and the coherent fields initially defined in a coherent state in the framework of power-law potentials (PLPCSs) is considered. Specifically, we consider two atoms locally interacting with PLPCSs and take into account the different terms of interactions, the entanglement and quantum discord are studied including the time-dependent coupling and photon transition effects. Using the monogamic relation between the entanglement of formation and quantum discord in tripartite systems, we show that the control and preservation of the different kinds of quantum correlations greatly benefit from the combination of the choice of the physical quantities. Finally, we explore the link between the dynamical behavior of quantum correlations and nonclassicality of the fields with and without atomic motion effect.

Measures of nonclassicality for a two-level atom interacting with power-law potential field under decoherence effect

S. Abdel‐Khalek, K. Berrada, Sadah Abdullah Alkhateeb

Abstract In this paper, we propose a useful quantum system to perform different tasks of quantum information and computational technologies. We explore the required optimal conditions for this system that are feasible with real experimental realization. We present an active way to control the variation of some measures of nonclassicality considering the time-dependent coupling and photon transition effects under a model that closely describes a realistic experimental scenario. We investigate qualitatively the quantum measures for a two-level atom system interacting with a quantum field initially defined in a coherent state in the framework of power-law potentials (PLPCSs). We study the nonlocal correlation in the whole system state using the negativity as a measure of entanglement in terms of the exponent parameter, number of photon transition, and phase damping effect. The influences of the different physical parameters on the statistical properties and purity of the field are also demonstrated during the time evolution. The results indicate that the preservation and enhancement of entanglement greatly benefit from the combination of the choice of the physical parameters. Finally, we explore an interesting relationship between the different quantum measures of non-classicality during the time evolution in the absence and presence of time-dependent coupling effect.

Dynamics of quantum correlations for two mode entangled coherent fields

Tesfay Gebremariam Tesfahannes, Ye‐Xiong Zeng, Chong Li

We investigate the quantum correlation dynamics of two separated continuous variable systems for which, the system comprises a pair of two-level atoms coupled to two cavities. Particularly, we consider two initially separable (non-entangled) states and Werner states which locally interact with two mode entangled coherent fields. We found that the atoms with different quantum correlation significantly affects the dynamics of quantum correlation of the fields, and the entanglement of the atoms can enhance the correlations between the field modes. Finally, we show the effect of the purity of initial states on the correlations between the field modes.

Quantum correlations between each qubit in a two-atom system and the environment in terms of interatomic distance

K. Berrada, F. F. Fanchini, S. Abdel‐Khalek

The quantum correlations between a qubit and its environment are described quantitatively in terms of interatomic distance. Specifically, considering a realistic system of two two-level atoms and taking into account the dipole-dipole interaction and collective damping, the quantum entanglement and quantum discord are investigated during the dissipative process as functions of the interatomic distance. For atoms that are initially maximally entangled, it turns out that there is a critical distance at which each atom is maximally quantum correlated with its environment. Counterintuitively, the approach of the two atoms can maximize the entanglement between each one and the environment and, even at the same distance, minimize the loss of entanglement between the pair.

ENTANGLEMENT FOR JAYNES CUMMINGS MODEL IN THE PRESENCE MULTI-PHOTON PROCESS UNDER DECOHERENCE EFFECT

S. Abdel‐Khalek, Mohammed Almalki

The quantum nonlocal correlation between an atom and coherent field is described quantitatively in terms of multi-photon and phase damping processes. Especially, considering a two-level atom interacts with a single-mode quantized field in a coherent state inside a phase-damped cavity, and taking into account the number of multi-photon transitions and phase damping effect, the entanglement is investigated during the time evolution as a function of involved' parameters in the system. The results show that the enhancement of the transitions are very useful in generating a high amount of entanglement. Due to the significance of how a system is quantum correlated with its environment in the construction of a scalable quantum computer, the entanglement dynamics between the bipartite system with its environment is evaluated and investigated during the dissipative process. Finally, the physical interpretation of the correlation behaviors between the subsystems is explained through the statistical properties of the field.

Nonclassical and nonlocal properties of atom-field systems in the framework of Pöschl-Teller potentials

Bahaaudin Mohammadnoor Raffah, K. Berrada

We study the nonclassical and nonlocal properties for atom-field systems in the context of Pöschl-Teller potential. Using the coherent states for Pöschl-Teller potentials, we propose a Jaynes Cummings model that characterizes the interaction among two-level atoms and fields with this kind of potential. After solving the motion equation, we examine the dynamical change of atomic inversion, entanglement, fidelity, and squeezing phenomenon with respect to initial parameter values. We show how the quantities can be controlled through the proper choice of the potential parameters. Finally, we give the connection among the quantum quantifiers for both whole system and subsystems during the evolution.

Quantum correlation dynamics of two two-level atoms in common environment

He Zhi, Li Long-Wu

By exactly solving the model of two two-level atoms with dipole-dipole interaction, interacting with a common environment, quantum entanglement and quantum discord of two atoms are obtained. In this paper, the influences of the non-Markovian effect of environment, the dipole-dipole interaction of two atoms and the detunings of the central frequency of the cavity and the transition frequency of the atoms on quantum entanglement and quantum discord dynamics of two atoms are comprehensively considered. The study shows that in the non-Markovian regime and the resonant case, if two atoms are initially in the entangled state, the damping of quantum entanglement and quantum discord will be remarkably suppressed. More specially, in the off-resonant case, the disentanglement time of the two atoms can be considerably prolonged. On the other hand, if two atoms are initially in the separable state, the dipole-dipole interaction can enhance the amplitude of oscillations of quantum entanglement and quantum discord in a short time, but the steady values of quantum entanglement and quantum discord cannot be changed by the dipole-dipole interaction in the long-time limit. Finally, the different influences of the dipole-dipole interaction on quantum entanglement and quantum discord also are discussed.
