Abstract

A multi-party multi-level quantum key distribution protocol based on entanglement swapping is proposed. A perfect complete orthonormal basis of the bi-party three-level systems is first constructed. By using this basis and swapping the entanglement, bi-party quantum key distribution is realized. In addition, three-level can be generalized to multi-level and bi-party to multi-party,i.e., multi-party multi-level quantum key distribution based on entanglement swapping can be achieved. Using entanglement swapping and multi-level key distribution can significantly increase the efficiency of the detection of eavesdropping, the key generation rate and the information flux.

High Efficient Multi-party Quantum Secret Sharing Scheme

Xiaoqian Zhang, Xiaoqing Tan, Cui Liang

Multi-party quantum secret sharing scheme with high efficient based on entanglement states is proposed and analyzed. A three-party which is presented shares a sequence of joint key bits. In this scheme, a general proof of the security against eavesdropping for three-party quantum secret sharing based on entanglement swapping is provided. The scheme which is showed is secure against a dishonest participant's intercept-and-resend attack and eavesdropper's entangle auxiliary-particles attack. In case of eavesdropping attacks with full information again, the detection bit needs to be transmitted except those for detection, the total efficiency of the scheme approaches to 100%. The protocol can be generalized to N-party system by using N-partite entanglement states.

Quantum key distribution protocol based on any Bell states

Liu Lin-Yao, HU Meng-Jun, Guangjun Xie

In order to improve the security and efficiency of quantum key distribution protocol,a protocol was proposed based on entanglement swapping. The two parties of communication establish the key by performing the Bell state measurement. No other people can get the key without being found.Different from the proposed protocol, the Bell measurement of any two Bell states can be realized to achieve the purpose of quantum key distribution. It does not need multi-particle entangled state but only EPR pair to realize the protocol.Analysis results showed that this protocol not only ensures the security of the quantum key shared information, but also uses the entanglement states of two photons without unitary operation. And the protocol is simple and efficient.

Quantum Key Distribution Scheme with High Efficiency

Gan Gao

Based on entanglement swapping, a quantum key distribution (QKD) scheme is proposed. In this scheme, the secret keys are formed by comparing initial Bell states and outcomes of entanglement swapping. Moreover, all initial Bell states prepared by Alice and Bob are completely arbitrary. As the classical information exchanged between two parties is very little, this QKD scheme has a high efficiency. In addition, in order to prevent eavesdropping, decoy particles are used.

QUANTUM KEY DISTRIBUTION BASED ON ENTANGLEMENT SWAPPING BETWEEN TWO BELL STATES

Fen-Zhuo Guo, Tailin Liu, Qiaoyan Wen +1 more

Based on entanglement swapping between two Bell states, two novel quantum key distribution protocols are proposed. One is for two-level systems, where there is no need for classical communication before each entanglement swapping. This feature is essential to its practical realization. Furthermore, to establish an arbitrarily long key, the protocol needs only two Bell states. The other is for d-level (d > 2) systems, in which higher security and higher source capacity are achieved. Using the theory of quadratic residue, we prove that in the two-qudit systems, each Bell state is a uniform superposition of all basis states in the dual basis, which is different to the situation in two-qubit systems. This difference means our two-level protocol cannot be generalized to the d-level situation directly. On the other hand, it results in higher security of our d-level protocol and is instructive to design quantum cryptography protocols.
