Abstract

Qubits are realized as polarization state of photons or as superpositions of the spin states of electrons. In this paper we propose a scheme to probabilistically teleport an unknown arbitrary two-qubit state using a non-maximally entangled GHZ- like state and a non-maximally Bell state simultaneously as quantum channels. We also discuss the success probability of our scheme. We perform POVM in the protocol which is operationally advantageous. In our scheme we show that the non-maximal quantum resources perform better than maximal resources.

Teleportation of two-qubit entangled state via non-maximally entangled GHZ state

Kan Wang, Xutao Yu, Zaichen Zhang

Quantum teleportation is of significant meaning in quantum information. We study the probabilistic teleportation of unknown two-qubit entangled state utilizing non-maximally entangled GHZ state as quantum channel. We formulate it as unambiguous state discrimination problem and derive exact optimal POVM operator for maximizing the success probability of unambiguous state discrimination. Only one three-qubit POVM for the sender, one two-qubit unitary operation for the receiver and two cbits for outcome notification are required in this scheme. The unitary operation is given in the form of concise formula and average fidelity is calculated. We show that our scheme is applicable in the situation where the information of quantum channel is only available for the sender.

A Better Controlled Scheme of Probabilistically Teleporting an Unknown 3D two Particle Entangled State for the Receiver

Zha Xin-wei

We establish a scheme for probabilistically teleporting an unknown 3D(dimensional) two-particle state using non-maximally entangled states as a quantum channel. In this scheme, the probabilistic teleportation is realized by using the new orthogonal complete bases measurement instead of the traditional Bell measurement, and we also use 3D entangled state as the quantum channel. These are different from the previous schemes. This scheme is more convenient for the receiver, because users could realize communication with less operators.

Probabilistic Teleportation of an Arbitrary Two-Qubit State via Positive Operator-Valued Measurement with Multi Parties*

Lei Shi, Jiahua Wei, Yun-Xia 云霞 Li 李 +3 more

Abstract We propose a novel scheme to probabilistically transmit an arbitrary unknown two-qubit quantum state via Positive Operator-Valued Measurement with the help of two partially entangled states. In this scheme, the teleportation with two senders and two receives can be realized when the information of non-maximally entangled states is only available for the senders. Furthermore, the concrete implementation processes of this proposal are presented, meanwhile the classical communication cost and the successful probability of our scheme are calculated.

Probabilistic teleportation of arbitrary two-particle entangled state via cluster state

NI Zhi-xiang

Two schemes for teleporting an unknown two-particle entangled state via a four-qubit non-maximally entangled cluster state as quantum channel are proposed. In the first scheme,a special bipartite entangled state was teleported, the receiver Bob can reconstruct the original state with a certain probability according to the sender Alice's measurement results, and the successful probability is determined by the smallest two coefficients' absolute values of the cluster state. In the latter scheme an arbitrary two-particle entangled state was teleported.Contrast to the first scheme, Bob should perform a quantum controlled phase gate operation besides the unitary transformation. The considerable advantage is that it employs a non-maximally entangled cluster state as quantum channel in these two schemes. Thus, the schemes can greatly reduce the amount of entanglement resources and need less classical bits.

Resumable probabilistic teleportation of a three qubit state using different quantum channels

Manoj Kumar Mandal, Binayak Samadder Choudhury, Soumen Samanta +1 more

Abstract In this paper we describe two different probabilistic teleportation protocols for teleporting the same unknown 3-qubit state from the sender Alice to the receiver Bob. The speciality of the state is that it remains a 2-qubit entangled state after any of the three involved qubits is eliminated by partial trace operation. One of the protocols utilizes a two and a three-qubit separate channels while in the other protocol, a five-qubit channel is utilized. One of the channels in the first protocol is a non-maximally entangled Bell state while the 5-qubit channel used in the case of the second protocol is non-maximally entangled. Both the teleportation schemes are probabilistic with the feature that in the case of failure of the teleportation, the state to be teleported is not lost to the sender. So the process can be repeated after failure till success is achieved. Moreover, one of the channels is recovered in the failure case. Both protocols are resumable in the above sense. The above is the speciality of the present work. We analyze the efficiency of our protocol which shows that the present two protocols are better performing than some existing ones.

Probabilistic Controlled Teleportation of a Triplet W State with Combined Channel of Non-Maximally Entangled Einstein–Podolsky–Rosen and Greenberger–Horne–Zeilinger States

Jian Li Dong, Teng Jian-Fu

A scheme for probabilistic controlled teleportation of a triplet W state using combined non-maximally entangled channel of two Einstein–Podolsky–Rosen (EPR) states and one Greenberger–Horne–Zeilinger (GHZ) state is proposed. In this scheme, an (m + 2 )-qubit GHZ state serves not only as the control parameter but also as the quantum channel. The m control qubits are shared by m supervisors. With the aid of local operations and individual measurements, including Bell-state measurement, Von Neumann measurement, and mutual classical communication etc., Bob can faithfully reconstruct the original state by performing relevant unitary transformations. The total probability of successful teleportation is only dependent on channel coefficients of EPR states and GHZ, independent of the number of supervisor m. This protocol can also be extended to probabilistic controlled teleportation of an arbitrary N-qubit state using combined non-maximally entangled channel of N – 1 EPR states and one (m + 2 )-qubit GHZ.
