Abstract

Quantum teleportation is of significant meaning in quantum information. We study the probabilistic teleportation of unknown two-qubit entangled state utilizing non-maximally entangled GHZ state as quantum channel. We formulate it as unambiguous state discrimination problem and derive exact optimal POVM operator for maximizing the success probability of unambiguous state discrimination. Only one three-qubit POVM for the sender, one two-qubit unitary operation for the receiver and two cbits for outcome notification are required in this scheme. The unitary operation is given in the form of concise formula and average fidelity is calculated. We show that our scheme is applicable in the situation where the information of quantum channel is only available for the sender.

Two-qubit entangled state teleportation via optimal POVM and partially entangled GHZ state

Kan Wang, Xutao Yu, Zaichen Zhang

Quantum teleportation is of significant meaning in quantum information. In this paper, we study the probabilistic teleportation of a two-qubit entangled state via a partially entangled Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger (GHZ) state when the quantum channel information is only available to the sender. We formulate it as an unambiguous state discrimination problem and derive exact optimal positive-operator valued measure (POVM) operators for maximizing the probability of unambiguous discrimination. Only one three-qubit POVM for the sender, one two-qubit unitary operation for the receiver, and two cbits for outcome notification are required in this scheme. The unitary operation is given in the form of a concise formula, and the fidelity is calculated. The scheme is further extended to more general case for transmitting a two-qubit entangled state prepared in arbitrary form. We show this scheme is flexible and applicable in the hop-by-hop teleportation situation.

Probabilistic Teleportation of Arbitrary Two-Qubit Quantum State via Non-Symmetric Quantum Channel

Kan Wang, Xutao Yu, Xiao-Fei Cai +1 more

Quantum teleportation has significant meaning in quantum information. In particular, entangled states can also be used for perfectly teleporting the quantum state with some probability. This is more practical and efficient in practice. In this paper, we propose schemes to use non-symmetric quantum channel combinations for probabilistic teleportation of an arbitrary two-qubit quantum state from sender to receiver. The non-symmetric quantum channel is composed of a two-qubit partially entangled state and a three-qubit partially entangled state, where partially entangled Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger (GHZ) state and W state are considered, respectively. All schemes are presented in detail and the unitary operations required are given in concise formulas. Methods are provided for reducing classical communication cost and combining operations to simplify the manipulation. Moreover, our schemes are flexible and applicable in different situations.

A probabilistic quantum communication protocol using mixed entangled channel

Binayak Samadder Choudhury, Arpan Dhara

Qubits are realized as polarization state of photons or as superpositions of the spin states of electrons. In this paper we propose a scheme to probabilistically teleport an unknown arbitrary two-qubit state using a non-maximally entangled GHZ- like state and a non-maximally Bell state simultaneously as quantum channels. We also discuss the success probability of our scheme. We perform POVM in the protocol which is operationally advantageous. In our scheme we show that the non-maximal quantum resources perform better than maximal resources.

Probabilistic Teleportation of an Arbitrary Two-Qubit State via Positive Operator-Valued Measurement with Multi Parties*

Lei Shi, Jiahua Wei, Yun-Xia 云霞 Li 李 +3 more

Abstract We propose a novel scheme to probabilistically transmit an arbitrary unknown two-qubit quantum state via Positive Operator-Valued Measurement with the help of two partially entangled states. In this scheme, the teleportation with two senders and two receives can be realized when the information of non-maximally entangled states is only available for the senders. Furthermore, the concrete implementation processes of this proposal are presented, meanwhile the classical communication cost and the successful probability of our scheme are calculated.

Resumable probabilistic teleportation of a three qubit state using different quantum channels

Manoj Kumar Mandal, Binayak Samadder Choudhury, Soumen Samanta +1 more

Abstract In this paper we describe two different probabilistic teleportation protocols for teleporting the same unknown 3-qubit state from the sender Alice to the receiver Bob. The speciality of the state is that it remains a 2-qubit entangled state after any of the three involved qubits is eliminated by partial trace operation. One of the protocols utilizes a two and a three-qubit separate channels while in the other protocol, a five-qubit channel is utilized. One of the channels in the first protocol is a non-maximally entangled Bell state while the 5-qubit channel used in the case of the second protocol is non-maximally entangled. Both the teleportation schemes are probabilistic with the feature that in the case of failure of the teleportation, the state to be teleported is not lost to the sender. So the process can be repeated after failure till success is achieved. Moreover, one of the channels is recovered in the failure case. Both protocols are resumable in the above sense. The above is the speciality of the present work. We analyze the efficiency of our protocol which shows that the present two protocols are better performing than some existing ones.

Quantum teleportation of a two-qubit cat-like state via an arbitrary high-dimensional entangled state

Huangrui Lei, Jiangang Tang, Jiayin Peng

Abstract The purpose of this paper is to explore how to teleport a low-dimensional (two-dimensional) arbitrary unknown two-qubit cat-like state through a high-dimensional entangled state constituting the quantum channel. We first present a scheme employing a maximally entangled three-qutrit state as the channel. Within this scheme, the sender performs a single-qubit projective measurement and a non-symmetric basis measurement on their particles. Based on these measurement outcomes, the receiver applies specific unitary operations to reconstruct the original cat-like state. Subsequently, the maximally entangled channel is replaced with a non-maximally entangled three-qutrit state. For this probabilistic teleportation scheme, the target state is reconstructed by introducing an auxiliary qubit and performing appropriate operations; the corresponding success probability is derived. Analysis indicates that the non-maximally entangled scheme generalizes the previous maximally entangled approach. Furthermore, both schemes are shown to be directly extendable to quantum channels formed by arbitrary high-dimensional entangled states.
