Abstract

The time-dependent and intensity-dependent Jaynes—Cummings model are investigated under the rotating wave approximation. We consider the case that the coupling extent of atom and light field is dependent on time in order to close to the fact.By the system's vector at any time t,we can calculate the second-order correlation function of light field. The evolution the second-order correlation function of light field is discussed in the case of different widths of pulse. Here the time pulse we chose is Gaussian shape. The results show that the time-evolution of second-order correlation function in this model is different from other intensity-dependent models, and that we can control the degree of bunching and anti-bunching effectively by controling the pulse width.

Antibunching Effect of Field with a Time-varying Frequency in the Multiphoton Jaynes-Cummings Model

LU Dao-ming

Using the multiphoton Jaynes-Cummings model, the antibunching effect of the field in the system of a two-level atom interacting with the single mode coherent field through mutiphoton transition is studied. The frequency of the field varying with time in the form of sine is considered. The influences of amplitude and angular frequency of the field-frequency variation on the antibunching effect of the field are discussed by numerical calculations.Calculation results indicate that the time-evolution behavior of second-order correlation function is modulated by the field-frequency variation. The modulation intensity is enchanced as the amplitude u of field-frequency variation increases, and when the amplitude u of field-frequency variation is larger than a fixed value the time-evolution of second-order correlation function will display periodic oscillation behavior. Its oscillation frequency is in agreement with the angular frequency of field-frequency variation. The antibunching effect of field decreases as the amplitude u of field-frequency variation increases.

The entanglement and second-order coherence function in a two-atom nonlinear Jaynes-Cummings model

Chuan Mo, Kai Xu, Guo‐Feng Zhang

Abstract The influence of the Kerr nonlinearity on the two two-level atoms entanglement is investigated in Jaynes–Cummings model (JCM), so that one of atoms is inside the cavity field and the other atom is outside it. We show that the entanglement of atoms increases with the decrease of the phase decoherence rate or Kerr coefficient, when considering the effect of external environment. Then due to the statistic properties of the anti-bunching effect of photons are related to entanglement, the nonlinear JCM is examined theoretically to analyze the bunching or anti-bunching effect by using the second-order coherence function. We find that the second-order coherence function decreases with the Kerr coefficient. Our results show that the field reflects the stronger bunching effect with the bigger average photon number.

Bunching and Antibunching Effects of Two Two-Level Atoms Interacting with Light Field under the Counter-Rotating-Wave Approximation

Lin Wan

In this paper, the bunching and antibunching effects of single mode light field in T C model is studied by means of the quantum theory .Under counter rotating wave approximation, the influences of the field frequency on the degree of second order coherence of field are also discussed. The relations between the coupling constants of two atoms ,the field strength and the degree of second order coherence of field are revealed.

Properties of Atom Dipole Dqueezing in Time-Dependent and Intensity-Dependent Coupling J-C Model

Hong‐Guang Piao

The properties of the atomic dipole squeezing in the time-dependent and intensity-dependent J-C model are investigated. The effect of pulse width and cavity field intensity on the atomic dipole squeezing is discussed when the coupling of atomic and cavity field is time-dependent.The results show that the time-evolution of the atomic dipole squeezing in this model is obviously different from other intensity-dependent models, and that the degree atomic dipole squeezing can be controlled effectively by regulating the pulse widths.
