Abstract

In this paper, the bunching and antibunching effects of single mode light field in T C model is studied by means of the quantum theory .Under counter rotating wave approximation, the influences of the field frequency on the degree of second order coherence of field are also discussed. The relations between the coupling constants of two atoms ,the field strength and the degree of second order coherence of field are revealed.

Quantum properties in a system of interaction between a two-level atom and the Schrdinger cat state

Li Peng

Applying the method of coherent states orthogonalization expansion, the atomic population and the antibunching effect of the light field are studied in the system of interaction between a two-level atom and the Schrdinger cat state without rotating wave approximation( RWA). The results are compared with those in RWA.The influences of the original strength of the light field and two coherent phase angles on the atomic population and antibunching effect with RWA and without RWA are discussed respectively, and the antibunching effect in the weak coupling condition is also discussed without RWA. The results show that the atomic populations with RWA and without RWA have different properties with the different original strengths of the light field. As the original strength of the light field is smaller, the atomic populations with RWA and without RWA show the same properties, but with the increase of the original strength of the light field the population with RWA will show the collapse phenomenon. When the coupling strength is larger, the antibunching effects with RWA and without RWA have bigger difference. Without RWA the light field will appear bunching effect, whereas with RWA it will appear alternately the bunching effect and the antibunching effect with the increase of the original strength of light field.

Quantum Properties of Light Field Interacting with Two Different Atoms

Shou Zhang

The quantum properties of light in the system of two different atoms interacting with two-mode squeezing vacuum field are studied. The effect of the relative coupling constant(R=g1/g2) and initial squeezed parameter r on light squeezing effect and the photon bunching and antibunching are discussed. The numerical results show that vibration range of quantum fluctuation, the biggest squeezing depth and squeezing time and vibration amplitude of second-order coherence is affected by the initial squeezed parameter r.The variation of quantum fluctuation and second-order coherence versus time are affected by the relative coupling constant R.As a result, the squeezing time of quantum fluctuation, the time when light field is in non-classical states and the degree of photon antibunching are also affected by it,but to but it doesn′t have obvious influence on light squeezing depth.

QUANTUM DYNAMICS OF A CASCADE THREE-LEVEL ATOM INTERACTING WITH COHERENT STATE IN THE COUNTER ROTATING WAVE APPROXIMATION

Liu San-qiu, Qin Guo, TAO XIANG-YANG +2 more

The dynamics of a cascade three-level atom interacting with the single mode coherent state under the Counter-Rotating-Wave approximation (C-RWA) is investigated. The properties of the mean-photon number (N(t)) and the degree of second-order coherence (g2(t)) are analyzed in this model. The little indentation which represents the quantum noise of the system appears in the evolution curves of the mean-photon number and the degree of second-order coherence under the C-RWA.The quantum noise which is caused by the virtual photon field gradually becomes weak when ω increases. The quantum noise increases when increases. The anti-bunching effect of the system under the C-RWA is stronger than the one under the RWA.Besides, the relation of N(t) and g2(t) with the atom-field coupling constant λ is revealed in our results.

Quantum properties of light in the two-photon T-C model in Kerr medium

Fang Jia-Yuan, Xiaohong Yan, Ming Tao Zhou +2 more

In this paper, the quantum properties of light in a system of two coupling atoms interacting with a single-model squeezed vacuum field at the two-photon transition in Kerr medium are studied by means of quantum theory. The influences of the Kerr medium and the dipole-dipole interaction between atoms are discussed. The results show that when the Kerr effect and the dipole-dipole interaction between atoms may be neglected, the fluctuation of U2 can be squeezed periodically. With increasing the Kerr effect and the dipole-dipole interaction between atoms, the squeezing effect of light gradually becomes weak and the squeezing time of light gradually decreases. The periodical collapse-revival phenomenon of the time evolution of the second-order coherence degree of the field appears, which is caused by the influence of the Kerr effect and the dipole-dipole interaction between atoms. No matter how large are the coupling constants, the photon bunching always appears.

Coherence Properties of Light Field Interacting with Two Different Atoms

Shou Zhang

The coherence properties of light in the system of two different atoms interacting with two-mode squeezing vacuum field were studied. The effect of the relative coupling constant (R=g1/g2) and initial squeezed parameter on the second-order coherence,mode-correlation properties and Cauchu- Achwartz inequality were discussed. The results show that when the initial squeezed parameter is smaller, the phone bunching and antibunching are appearing by turns, and the dgree of mode-correlation property is more stronger. When the initial squeezed parameter is bigger, the photons are appearing bunching and the degree of mode-correlation propertity is weaken. The variation of second-order coherence,mode-correlation properties and Cauchy-Schwartz inequality versus time is affected by the relative coupling constant R,but the relative coupling constant can′t change the non-classical properties of light.

Photon antibunching effect in the system of two-mode entangled coherent states interacting with a moving V-type three-level atom

Zhuo‐Liang Cao

By means of solving Schrdinger equation and numerical calculations, photon bunching and antibunching effect in the system of the two-mode entangled coherent states interacting with a moving V-type three-level atom is investigated. The results indicate that the effect of photon bunching and antibunching in the system intensively depend on mean photon numbers of the two-mode entangled coherent states and the speed of the atom. For a special mean photon number, the velocity of atom will afftect the effect of photon bunching and antibunching intensively. For those relatively large mean photon numbers, the initial state of the atom and the degree of entanglement of the two-mode entangled coherent states have no influences on the effect of photon bunching and antibunching. For those relatively small mean photon numbers, the initial state of the atom and the degree of entanglement of the two-mode entangled coherent states only have slight influences on the effect of photon bunching and antibunching.
