Abstract

With the rapid development of IT, information and communication security become more and more important. Cryptographic technique is the core of information security technology. This paper first introduces summarily the three cryptosystem'(Symmetry, Public-key and Quantum ciphers) theory technology and their status quos, and analyzes their developmental trends. Second, the thesis approaches emphatically primary design philosophy of block cipher and generation distribution of quantum key. Finally, the comparison between the three cryptosystems is outlined.

A Survey on Various Aspects of Quantum Cryptography

Rajesh Kumar Pateriya, Dr.J.L. Rana, Anupriya Gupta

In the era of information technology the need for secure communication has become increasingly important. Cryptography is a technology for creating the core of information security we use cryptography for making data secure which is the science of information protection from unauthorized interception and tempering. Most modern cryptographic studies design cryptosystems and algorithms using mathematical concepts which are based either on factorization or on discrete logarithm problem. In recent years quantum information research has lead to the discovery of a number of remarkable new paradigms for information processing and communication. These developments include quantum cryptography schemes that offer unconditionally secure information transport guaranteed by quantum-mechanical laws, which provide protection of system security, and optimization of system efficiency and detects intrusion and wiretap. Today quantum cryptography is used in various application for transferring secure data without the fear of keys being compromised. This paper reviews the various areas where quantum  cryptography is successfully implemented, its advantages disadvantages & technical issues.

Survey on quantum information security

Huanguo Zhang, Zhaoxu Ji, Houzhen Wang +1 more

The security of classical cryptography based on computational complexity assumptions has been severely challenged with the rapid development of quantum computers and quantum algorithms. Quantum cryptography, which offers unconditional security based on some principles of quantum mechanics, has become a significant branch and hotspot in the field of modern cryptography research. In this paper, we review the research and development of several important and well-studied branches of quantum cryptography in terms of theory and experiment, including quantum key distribution, quantum secret sharing, quantum secure direct communication, quantum signature, and quantum private query. We also briefly review the research and development of some other branches which are currently in the stage of theoretical research but receive widespread concern from academia, including quantum private comparison, quantum anonymous voting, quantum secure multi-party summation, quantum sealed-bid auction, quantum public key cryptosystem, quantum key agreement, quantum dialogue, and quantum identity authentication. In addition, we discuss some open issues and future research directions for the branches referred to above.

One Kind of Safer Cryptographic Technique: Quantum Cryptography

Wang A-chuan, Cao Jun

With the development of computer and communication technology, many people pay close attention to information security technology. Considering that the current encryption has many malpractices, some persons turn attention to quantum cryptography. Quantum Key Distribution is based on the principles of Heisenberg's uncertainty which guarantees that no eavesdropper can escape detection. According to this principle, this paper makes a study of the quantum cryptography technique, discusses the course of quantum key production and distribution in the quantum communication and the principle of quantum key distribution protocol in the communication by combining the application of quantum key protocol in the communication network. Current experimental progress on this aspect is introduced, existing problems are analyzed and some constructive suggestions are proposed. Finally, the developing trend for the theory of quantum password is prospected.

A Comprehensive Survey of Post-Quantum Cryptography and Its Implications

Bharat S. Rawal, Anjan Biswas

Cryptography has been in existence since before the advent of computers. It encompasses a variety of techniques designed to secure information, whether it is at rest or in transit. Symmetric key cryptography includes symmetric keys, which serve the dual purpose of encrypting and decoding communications. Descriptions have been provided for public/private key pairs, also known as asymmetric keys. Such pairs may be categorized as secret/public key pairs, where the private key remains confidential, while the public key is accessible to all relevant parties for communication and information exchange. The realm of private and public key cryptography is diverse. Recently, the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) endorsed four post-quantum cryptography systems. This paper presents a comprehensive survey of cryptography, examining the implications of intricate cryptographic systems on our existing networks.

A Survey of Post-Quantum Cryptography: Start of a New Race

Duc-Thuan Dam, Thai-Ha Tran, Van‐Phuc Hoang +2 more

Information security is a fundamental and urgent issue in the digital transformation era. Cryptographic techniques and digital signatures have been applied to protect and authenticate relevant information. However, with the advent of quantum computers and quantum algorithms, classical cryptographic techniques have been in danger of collapsing because quantum computers can solve complex problems in polynomial time. Stemming from that risk, researchers worldwide have stepped up research on post-quantum algorithms to resist attack by quantum computers. In this review paper, we survey studies in recent years on post-quantum cryptography (PQC) and provide statistics on the number and content of publications, including a literature overview, detailed explanations of the most common methods so far, current implementation status, implementation comparisons, and discussion on future work. These studies focused on essential public cryptography techniques and digital signature schemes, and the US National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) launched a competition to select the best candidate for the expected standard. Recent studies have practically implemented the public key encryption/key encapsulation mechanism (PKE/KEM) and digital signature schemes on different hardware platforms and applied various optimization measures based on other criteria. Along with the increasing number of scientific publications, the recent trend of PQC research is increasingly evident and is the general trend in the cryptography industry. The movement opens up a promising avenue for researchers in public key cryptography and digital signatures, especially on algorithms selected by NIST.
