Abstract

A general scheme of preparing three-atom maximally W state is proposed. Our proposal is based on cavity QED. The discussion of this scheme indicates we can obtain three-atom maximally W state whether the atoms are injected into the cavity simultaneously or at different time. It can be realized by current technologies and it also can be generalized to prepare the n-atom W states.

Preparation of multiple separate cavity fields entanglement in cavity QED

Xiang Liu

We present a scheme to produce a maximally entangled state of multiple separate cavity fields based on the resona'nt interaction of a single-mode cavity field and a three-level atom. Firstly we investigate the entanglement of two separate cavity fields, and then generalize this scheme with maximally entangled states to multiple separate cavity fields.

A simple scheme for generating multi-atom GHZ state via cavity QED

Wang Jun, Longbao Yu, Ye Liu

This paper proposes a simple scheme for generating a three-atom GHZ state via cavity quantum electrodynamics (QED). The task can be achieved through the interaction between two EPR states, which can be prepared easily with current technology. In this scheme, the cavity field is only virtually excited during the interaction process, and no quantum information transfer between the atoms and the cavity is required. Thus it greatly prolongs the efficient decoherent time. Moreover, this scheme is also applicable for generating an N -atom GHZ state.

One-step implementation of maximally entangled states of many three-level atoms in microwave cavity QED

Xu‐Bo Zou, Wolfgang M. Mathis

We propose an experimental scheme for one-step implementation of maximally entangled states of many three-level atoms in microwave cavity QED. In the scheme, many three-level atoms initially prepared in the same superposition states are simultaneously sent through one superconducting cavity, and maximally entangled states can be generated without requiring the measurement and individual addressing of the atoms.

Generation of two-photon EPR and W states

Wesley Bueno Cardoso, Wen-Chao Qiang, Ardiley Torres Avelar +1 more

In this paper we present a scheme for generation of two-photon EPR and W states in the cavity QED context. The scheme requires only one three-level Rydberg atom and two or three cavities. The atom is sent to interact with cavities previously prepared in vacuum states, via two-photon process. An appropriate choice of the interaction times one obtains the mentioned state with maximized fidelities. These specific times and the values of success probability and fidelity are discussed.
