Abstract

We present a scheme to produce a maximally entangled state of multiple separate cavity fields based on the resona'nt interaction of a single-mode cavity field and a three-level atom. Firstly we investigate the entanglement of two separate cavity fields, and then generalize this scheme with maximally entangled states to multiple separate cavity fields.

Method for generating maximally entangled states of multiple three-level atoms in cavity QED

Guang-Sheng Jin, Shu‐Shen Li, Songlin Feng +1 more

We propose a scheme to generate maximally entangled states (MESs) of multiple three-level atoms in microwave cavity QED based on the resonant atom-cavity interaction. In the scheme, multiple three-level atoms initially in their ground states are sequently sent through two suitably prepared cavities. After a process of appropriate atom-cavity interaction, a subsequent measurement on the second cavity field projects the atoms onto the MESs. The practical feasibility of this method is also discussed.

Production of Entanglement of Multiple Three-Level Atoms with a Two-Mode Cavity

Zheng Shi-Biao

A scheme is proposed for generating maximally entangled states for two or more three-level atoms. In the scheme the atoms are sent through a two-mode cavity one by one and interact with the two-cavity modes sequentially. The required experimental techniques are within the scope of what can be obtained in the microwave cavity QED setup.

Preparation of Three-atom Entangled W StateVia Resonant Atom-field Interaction

Shao-Hua Xiang

We present a simple and realizable scheme to generate three-atom entangled W state, based on the resonant interaction of three two-level atoms with one single-mode cavity field. It is shown that such state can easily be achieved by controlling the interaction time of atom-cavity-field and the coupling constant without the detection of photon number within the cavity. In addition, the experimental feasibility within the realm of cavity QED is analyzed.

Preparation of Two-Qutrit Entangled State in Cavity QED

We propose a scheme to generate a 3 x 3-dimensional maximally entangled state of two particles. Two three-level atoms interact with a strongly detuned cavity so that the cavity is only virtually excited and efficient decoherence time of the cavity is greatly prolonged. Compared to other protocols, this protocol is simpler and has a higher fidelity.

Generation of an entangled state of two three-level atoms in cavity QED

We present a scheme to generate a maximally entangled state of two three-level atoms with a nonresonant cavity by cavity-assisted collisions. Since the cavity field is only virtually excited, no quantum information will be transferred from the atoms to the cavity.
