Abstract

We propose an experimental scheme for one-step implementation of maximally entangled states of many three-level atoms in microwave cavity QED. In the scheme, many three-level atoms initially prepared in the same superposition states are simultaneously sent through one superconducting cavity, and maximally entangled states can be generated without requiring the measurement and individual addressing of the atoms.

Method for generating maximally entangled states of multiple three-level atoms in cavity QED

Guang-Sheng Jin, Shu‐Shen Li, Songlin Feng +1 more

We propose a scheme to generate maximally entangled states (MESs) of multiple three-level atoms in microwave cavity QED based on the resonant atom-cavity interaction. In the scheme, multiple three-level atoms initially in their ground states are sequently sent through two suitably prepared cavities. After a process of appropriate atom-cavity interaction, a subsequent measurement on the second cavity field projects the atoms onto the MESs. The practical feasibility of this method is also discussed.

Production of Entanglement of Multiple Three-Level Atoms with a Two-Mode Cavity

Zheng Shi-Biao

A scheme is proposed for generating maximally entangled states for two or more three-level atoms. In the scheme the atoms are sent through a two-mode cavity one by one and interact with the two-cavity modes sequentially. The required experimental techniques are within the scope of what can be obtained in the microwave cavity QED setup.

Engineering three-dimensional maximally entangled states for two modes in a bimodal cavity

Zhen‐Biao Yang, Wan-Jun Su

An alternative scheme is proposed for engineering three-dimensional maximally entangled states for two modes of a superconducting microwave cavity. In this scheme, an appropriately prepared four-level atom is sent through a bimodal cavity. During its passing through the cavity, the atom is coupled resonantly with two cavity modes simultaneously and addressed by a classical microwave pulse tuned to the required transition. Then the atomic states are detected to collapse two modes onto a three-dimensional maximally entangled state. The scheme is different from the previous one in which two nonlocal cavities are used. A comparison between them is also made.

We propose a scheme for generating the maximally entangled states of many superconducting quantum interference devices (SQUIDs) by using a quantized cavity field and classical microwave pulses in cavity. In the scheme, the maximally entangled states can be generated without requiring the measurement and individual addressing of the SQUIDs.

Generation of a supersinglet of three three-level atoms in cavity QED

Guang-Sheng Jin, Shu‐Shen Li, Songlin Feng +1 more

We propose a scheme to generate a supersinglet of three three-level atoms in microwave cavity quantum electrodynamics based on the resonant atom-cavity interaction. In the scheme, three three-level atoms in suitable initial states are sequentially sent through three cavities originally prepared in their vacuum states. After an appropriate atom-cavity interaction process, in the subsequent measurement on the third cavity field the atoms are projected onto the desired supersinglet. The practical feasibility of this method is discussed.

Generation of Multicavity Entangled States with a Single Three-Level Atom

Shi-Biao Zheng

A simple scheme is proposed for the generation of maximally entangled states for several separated cavities, in which each cavity is in a one-photon state or in the vacuum state. In the scheme a laddertype three-level atom is sent through the cavities and additional classical fields. The whole system finally evolves into a state, which is given by the product of the highly entangled field state with an atomic state.
