Remote Preparation of a Three-paticle Entangled State

Abstract

With three pairs of entangled particles as the quantum channel, we present a scheme for preparing remotely a three-particle entangled state. One different point between remote state preparation and quantum teleportation is that we assume Alice starts with complete classical knowledeg of the state but Bob doesn't. Then the state wanted will be got through a series of operation. Eventually, a conclusion that remote state preparation needs less classical resource than quantum teleportation can be made.

Joint remote state preparation

Nguyen Ba An, Jaewan Kim

Alice, Bob and Charlie are three remote parties. Alice and Bob share the classical knowledge of a secret qubit state. We consider the following question: 'how can Alice and Bob jointly prepare the qubit state for Charlie?' Two different protocols are proposed for such a joint remote state preparation. The first protocol uses a single GHZ state while the second one uses a pair of EPR states as the quantum channel whose entanglement is not necessarily maximal.

Remote state preparation and measurement of single photon

Arun Kumar Pati

Quantum information theory has revolutionized the way in which information is processed using quantum resources such as entangled states, local operations and classical communications. Two important protocols in quantum communications are quantum teleportation and remote state preparation. In quantum teleportation neither the sender nor the receiver know the identity of a state. In remote state preparation the sender knows the state which is to be remotely prepared without ever physically sending the object or the complete classical description of it. Using one unit of entanglement and one classical bit Alice can remotely prepare a photon (from special ensemble) of her choice at Bob's laboratory. In remote state measurement Alice asks Bob to simulate any single particle measurement statistics on an arbitrary photon. In this talk we will present these ideas and discuss the latest developments and future open problems.

TELEPORTATION OF AN UNKNOWN ENTANGLED STATE OF THREE THREE-LEVEL PARTICLES VIA A MAXIMALLY ENTANGLED STATE OF FOUR THREE-LEVEL PARTICLES

Jiang Wei-qun

A scheme for teleporting an unknown entangled state of three three-level particles is proposed when four three-level particles state of maximally entangled is used as quantum channel. The sender Alice makes the Bell states measurement one time and separate particle measurement twice, and sends the outcome to Bob by classical channel, so Bob by using the corresponding unitary transformation to reconstruct the quantum state which Alice wants to send .

Multiparticle Generalization of Remote State Preparation

Liu Jin-Ming, Han Jiu-Rong, Wang Yu-Zhu

We present a scheme for preparing remotely a three-particle pure entangled state via entanglement swapping, and then we directly generalize it to the multiparticle case. It is shown that by using N pairs of bipartite EPR states as the quantum channel, remote preparation of some specially chosen N-particle pure entangled states can be achieved faithfully with an N-particle orthonormal basis measurement and only N bits of classical information.

Probabilistic remote state preparation by W states

Liu Jin-Ming, Wang Yu-Zhu

In this paper we consider a scheme for probabilistic remote state preparation of a general qubit by using W states. The scheme consists of the sender, Alice and two remote receivers Bob and Carol. Alice performs a projective measurement on her qubit in the basis spanned by the state she wants to prepare and its orthocomplement. This allows either Bob or Carol to reconstruct the state with finite success probability. It is shown that for some special ensembles of qubits, the remote state preparation scheme requires only two classical bits, unlike the case in the scheme of quantum teleportation where three classical bits are needed.
