Abstract

Alice, Bob and Charlie are three remote parties. Alice and Bob share the classical knowledge of a secret qubit state. We consider the following question: 'how can Alice and Bob jointly prepare the qubit state for Charlie?' Two different protocols are proposed for such a joint remote state preparation. The first protocol uses a single GHZ state while the second one uses a pair of EPR states as the quantum channel whose entanglement is not necessarily maximal.

Scheme for Asymmetric and Deterministic Controlled Bidirectional Joint Remote State Preparation*

Jin 锦 Shi 施, You-Bang Zhan

Abstract The scheme for asymmetric and deterministic controlled bidirectional joint remote state preparation by using one ten-qubit entangled state as the quantum channel is proposed. In this scheme, Alice and David want to remotely prepare an arbitrary single-qubit state at Bob’s site, at the same time, Bob and Eve wish to help Alice remotely prepare an arbitrary two-qubit entangled state. Alice and Bob can simultaneously prepare the desired states with the cooperation of David and Eve under the control of Charlie .

Joint remote preparation of a single-photon hyper-state with two pairs of hyper-Bell states

Cao Thi Bich, Nguyen Ba An

Abstract Hyper-entanglement is gaining more and more attentions thanks to its outstanding applications in processing quantum information. It is considered as a quantum resource in many important tasks. In this work, we deal with a tripartite task for three remote parties Alice, Bob and Charlie. Namely, Alice and Bob are two senders who independently share the full information of an arbitrary single-photon state which is encoded simultaneously in two different degrees of freedom, the spatial-mode degree of freedom and the polarization degree of freedom (hereafter called photon’s hyper-state). We show that Alice and Bob can jointly prepare for the receiver Charlie such a hyper-state of the photon when they share beforehand two pairs of hyper-Bell states.

Deterministic joint remote state preparation of arbitrary two- and three-qubit states

Yuan Wang, Xin Ji

We propose a novel deterministic protocol that two senders are capable of remotely preparing arbitrary two- and three-qubit states for a remote receiver using EPR pairs and GHZ state as the quantum channel. Compared with the existing deterministic protocols [An et al . 2011 Phys. Lett . A 375 3570 and Chen et al . 2012 J. Phys . A: Math. Theor . 45 055303 ], the quantum resources and classical information in our scheme are decreased, and the whole operation process is simplified.

Quantum dense coding using three qubits

Jose Luis Cereceda

We consider a situation in which two parties, Alice and Bob, share a 3-qubit system coupled in an initial maximally entangled, GHZ state. By manipulating locally two of the qubits, Alice can prepare any one of the eight 3-qubit GHZ states. Thus the sending of Alice's two qubits to Bob, entails 3 bits of classical information which can be recovered by Bob by means of a measurement distinguishing the eight (orthonormal) GHZ states. This contrasts with the 2-qubit case, in which Alice can prepare any of the four Bell states by acting locally only on one of the qubits.

Remote preparation of a class of three-qubit entangled states

Dong Wang

A remote state preparation(RSP) scheme of a three-qubit Greenberger Horne Zeilinger(GHZ) class state was proposed by using three two-qubit maximally entangled states as the quantum channel. The success probability of preparation and classical communication cost were calculated.Generally speaking, according to Alice's classical message, with probability 1/4 Bob could successfully prepare the GHZ state. However, for three kinds of special states, the success probability of preparation could be increased to 1.0 after consuming some extra bits. Then the scheme was deterministic.
