Probabilistic remote state preparation by W states

Abstract

In this paper we consider a scheme for probabilistic remote state preparation of a general qubit by using W states. The scheme consists of the sender, Alice and two remote receivers Bob and Carol. Alice performs a projective measurement on her qubit in the basis spanned by the state she wants to prepare and its orthocomplement. This allows either Bob or Carol to reconstruct the state with finite success probability. It is shown that for some special ensembles of qubits, the remote state preparation scheme requires only two classical bits, unlike the case in the scheme of quantum teleportation where three classical bits are needed.

Classical Communication Cost and Probabilistic Remote Preparation of Four-Particle Entangled W State

Kui Hou, Shi Shou-Hua

We present a scheme for probabilistic remote preparation of the four-particle entangled W state by using four partial entangled two-particle states as the quantum channel. In this scheme, if Alice (sender) performs four-particle projective measurements and Bob (receiver) adopts some appropriate unitary operation, the remote state preparation can be successfully realized with certain probability. The classical communication cost is also calculated. However, the success probability of preparation can be increased to 1 for four kinds of special states.

Remote preparation of arbitrary two- and three-qubit states

Jin‐Ming Liu, Xun‐Li Feng, C. H. Oh

We present a scheme for remotely preparing an arbitrary two-qubit pure state by using two bipartite partially entangled states as the quantum channel, the scheme is then generalized to the arbitrary three-qubit case. For the two cases of remote state preparation, we construct two different efficient projective measurement bases at sender's side and calculate the corresponding success probabilities. It is shown that remote preparation of the two-qubit or three-qubit state can be probabilistically achieved with unity fidelity. Moreover, for some special ensembles of the initial states, we find that the success probability of preparation can be increased to four times for two-qubit states and eight times for three-qubit states, and is equal to one in the case of the maximal entanglement resources.

Controlled Remote Preparation of a Two-Qubit State via an Asymmetric Quantum Channel

Zhang-Yin Wang

I present a new scheme for probabilistic remote preparation of a general two-qubit state from a sender to either of two receivers. The quantum channel is composed of a partial entangled tripartite Greenberger—Horne—Zeilinger (GHZ) state and a W-type state. I try to realize the remote two-qubit preparation by using the usual projective measurement and the method of positive operator-valued measure, respectively. The corresponding success probabilities of the scheme with different methods as well as the total classical communication cost required in this scheme are also calculated.

Remote preparation of an entangled two-qubit state with three parties

Hong‐Yi Dai, Ping‐Xing Chen, Ming Zhang +1 more

We present a scheme for probabilistic remote preparation of an entangled two-qubit state with three parties from a sender to either of two receivers. The quantum channel is composed of a partially entangled two-qubit state and a partially entangled three-qubit state. We calculate the successful total probabilities of the scheme in general and particular cases, respectively. We also calculate total classical communication cost in a general case and two particular cases, respectively.

Scheme for implementing perfect remote state preparation with W -class state in cavity QED

Wang Xue-Wen, Peng Zhao-Hui

In this paper we present a remote state preparation scheme with a three-qubit W -class state in cavity QED. It has been shown that a special single-qubit state and a special two-qubit entangled state can be remotely prepared perfectly. Furthermore, the classical information cost in this scheme is less than that in the corresponding teleportation scheme and only a single-qubit projective measurement is made by the sender. We also generalize this idea to the multiqubit W -class state.

Remote preparation of arbitrary two-qubit state

Guo-Fang Shi

Inspired by the idea of Wang and Yan's,i.e.,a two-step exact remote state preparation(RSP) of an arbitrary qubit, the remote preparation of arbitrary two-qubit state was studied. In the scheme, two non-maximally entangled GHZ states act as quantum channels. The sender Alice divides the full information encoded in known state into two parts, one purely real coefficient and the other purely real phase factor. After twice projective measurements and the transmission of 4-bit classical information by Alice, the remote receiver Bob can obtain the desired state with the success probability 4|βγ|~2 which is higher than that in Liu's protocol and it is also the advantage of our scheme, because only two-qubit state in real.Hilbert space or equatorial-like state can reach this success probability value in Liu's protocol.
