Abstract

The squeezing properties of light field in the process preparing Raman-type atom laser via stimulated Raman transition of the Sodium atom Bose-Einstein condensate(BEC) interacting with two light beams,a weaker squeezed coherent probe light and a stronger classical pump light, are studied. The results show that the squeezed coherent probe light can be periodically squeezed. The squeezing period of the probe light is related to the mean number of atoms in trap, the strength of interaction between squeezed light and BEC atoms, and the detuning of the light, and the squeezing depth is determined by the initial squeezing factor of the probe light.

The coherence of a squeezed sodium atom laser generated from a Raman output coupler, in which the sodium atoms in Bose-Einstein condensate (BEC) interact with two light beams consisting of a weaker squeezed coherent probe light and a stronger classical coupling light, is investigated. The results show that in the case of a large mean number of BEC atoms and a weaker probe light field, the atom laser is antibunching, and this atom laser is second-order coherent if the number of BEC atoms in traps is large enough.

Squeezing properties of atom laser from two-level atomic Bose-Einstein condensate interacting with two-mode light field

Ming Li, Chen Cui-Ling

The Hamiltonian operator of a system of two-level atomic Bose-Einstein condensate interacting with two-mode squeezed coherent light field is improved in terms of the lattice-liquid model. The squeezing properties of atom laser in this system are studied. Results show that the two quadrature components of the atom laser can be squeezed periodically, and the maximum depth depends greatly on the initial squeezing factor of the light field. The collapse-revival oscillatory frequency of the atom laser and the quantum Rabi frequency are largely determined by the interaction intensity between the light field and the atoms and by the circle frequency of the light field, respectively.

The squeezing properties of the two-mode atom laser in a system of Ξ-type three-level atomic Bose-Einstein condensate interacting with single-mode squeezed coherent light field are studied. The results show that the two-mode atom laser can be squeezed periodically, and has two types of oscillations: quantum Rabi oscillation and collapse-revival oscillation. The maximum depth of squeezing and the collapse-revival frequency of the atom laser depend greatly on the interaction intensity between the light field and atoms, and the quantum Rabi frequency is largely determined by the frequency of the light field.

The squeezing properties in the system of two-mode SU (1, 1) coherent states interacting with Bose-Einstein Condensate of two-level atoms

Lei Wang, Sun Chang-yong

The squeezing properties of optical field and atomic laser are studied in the system of two-mode SU (1, 1) coherent states interacting with two-level atomic BEC. The results show that two quadrature components of optical field can be squeezed periodically. The frequency of squeezing of optical field depends closely on both the interaction among atoms in BEC and the coupling constant between optical field and atoms. The maximum depth of squeezing is closely correlated to the two-mode SU (1, 1) coherent states parameters. The two quadrature components of atomic laser also can be squeezed, but it is difficult to squeeze. The maximum depth of squeezing is determined by the initial optical field.
