Abstract

The quantum information science is the science of quantum information processing technology. The quantum information processing technology includes quantum computing technology, quantum cryptography and quantum communication technologies, its impact on information security is great. The quantum computers and quantum algorithms made many difficult math problems solved easily, that is a direct threat to many of the traditional cryptography, and the anti-quantum attacks cryptographic algorithms became the focus of the theoretical research. Quantum cryptography and quantum teleportation can effectively improve the security of quantum communication networks and quantum signature technology. People encountered many challenges in the process of studying quantum information science, also made gratifying progress. People should adequately predict the impact of quantum informatics science on commercial, military, network, banking areas at the information age.

Analyzing the Impact of Quantum Cryptography on Network Security

Sanjaikanth E Vadakkethil Somanathan Pillai, Kiran Polimetla

Quantum cryptography is a field that employs principles of quantum physics to communicate via networks. It has developed as an ability to handle the growing risks to network security, including cyber-attacks and data breaches. This age offers superior and advanced security characteristics compared to traditional cryptographic systems, making it a highly promising choice for safeguarding sensitive data. Quantum cryptography provides secure communication channels that are resistant to eavesdropping and hacking. Quantum key distribution (QKD) algorithms are utilized to generate and distribute encryption keys by using the distinct properties of quantum particles. Intercepting the keys without altering their quantum state is exceedingly difficult, requiring precise manipulation. Quantum cryptography has a notable effect on community defense by effectively mitigating the threat posed by quantum computing. Due to the rise of quantum computing, conventional encryption methods are becoming more susceptible to attacks that could compromise the security of encryption keys.

The theoretical, experimental and technological areas covering the use of quantum mechanics for communication and computation.Quantum information processing includes investigations in quantum information theory, quantum communication, quantum computation, quantum algorithms and their complexity, and quantum control. The science of quantum information processing is a highly interdisciplinary field. In the context of mathematics it is stimulating research in pure mathematics (e.g.coding theory, *algebras, quantum topology) as well as requiring and providing many opportunities for applied mathematics. The science of quantum information processing emerged from the recognition that usable notions of information need to be physically implementable. In the 1960s and 1970s researchers such as R. Quantum Mechanics for Secure Communication: The Promise of Quantum Cryptography.

S. Rajendirakumar

Cryptography is the science of securing information by transforming it into a form that cannot be easily understood by unauthorized individuals. Traditional cryptography is based on mathematical problems that are difficult to solve, but as quantum computers become more powerful, these problems will become easier to solve. Quantum cryptography is a promising approach to data security that is immune to attack by quantum computers. It uses the principles of quantum mechanics to create secure communication channels. This article provides an overview of quantum cryptography, including the basic principles, different types of quantum cryptographic protocols, and some of the challenges that are still being addressed. The article also discusses the potential of quantum cryptography to revolutionize data security in the future.

Exploring quantum computing's influence on cryptographic systems and data protection

Krishan Dut, Alok Misra, Raj Gaurang Tiwari +3 more

The rapid progress made in the domain of quantum computing has presented a number of opportunities as well as challenges in numerous domains, particularly in the domain of cryptography and security. The extraordinary computational capacity of quantum computing can be used to conduct computations at a much faster rate than classical computing, which makes quantum computing a potential threat to many cryptography systems. This paper presents a focused analysis of quantum computing’s influence on a cryptographic system and the digital data protection. This paper examines the basic concepts of quantum physics and discusses the challenges of classical cryptography protocols, along with the analysis of post-quantum solutions, focusing on the issues of secrecy, verification, and quantum security of these protocols. The evidence collected from various sources proves that quantum algorithms pose a threat to classical public-key cryptosystems; on the other hand, ML-KEM, ML-DSA, and SLH-DSA are the post-quantum solutions. It is imperative that a move to quantum-resistant encryption entails appropriate migration policies and standards alongside technological advancements. Such conclusions suggest that adequate preparedness can help in enhancing the security of encrypted information with advancing quantum technology. This study emphasizes the significance of hybrid cryptographic implementations and cryptographic agility in the changeover from classical cryptography to quantum cryptography security frameworks. Real-world implementation should strike a balance between security power and efficiency of computation among other considerations.
