Abstract

Quantum informatics is an emerging interdisciplinary subject developed by the combination of quantum mechanics, information science, and computer science in the 1980s. The birth and development of quantum information science has far-reaching significance in science and technology. At present, the application of quantum information technology has become the direction of people's efforts. The preparation, storage, purification and regulation, transmission, quantum coding and decoding of quantum state have become the hotspot of scientists and technicians, which have a profound impact on the national economy and the people's livelihood, technology and defense technology. This paper first summarizes the background of quantum information science and quantum computer and the current situation of domestic and foreign research, and then introduces the basic knowledge and basic concepts of quantum computing. Finally, several quantum algorithms are introduced in detail, including Quantum Fourier transform, Deutsch-Jozsa algorithm, Shor's quantum algorithm, quantum phase estimation.

QUANTUM INFORMATICS: OVERVIEW OF THE MAIN ACHIEVEMENTS

Alexander S. Sigov, E. Andrianova, Dmitry Zhukov +2 more

The urgency of conducting research in the field of quantum informatics is grounded. Promising areas of research are highlighted. For foreign and Russian publications and materials, a review of the main scientific results that characterize the current state of research in quantum computer science is made. It is noted that knowledge and funds are invested most intensively in the development of the architecture of a quantum computer and its elements. Despite the fact that today there is no information on the creation of a physical implementation of a quantum computer comparable in functionality to a classical digital computer, the development of quantum algorithms is one of the popular areas of research. An advantage of quantum algorithms is the fact that they reduce the time required to solve the problem due to the parallelization of operations by generating entangled quantum states and their subsequent use. This advantage (quantum acceleration) is most important when solving the problem of modeling the dynamics of complex systems and enumerated mathematical problems. (The general case of enumeration is the Grover scheme and its variants; the tasks of searching for hidden periods: Shor's scheme of using the fast quantum Fourier transform and its analogues.) The demand for cybersecurity developments (search for vulnerabilities in smart spaces, secure storage and use of big data, quantum cryptography) is noted. More than a dozen articles are devoted to quantum algorithms of key search, key distribution on optical fibers of various lengths, and the analysis of quantum resources necessary for conducting a cyber attack. In the field of artificial quantum intelligence, attention is paid, first of all, to the “search” for a model of a quantum neural network that is optimal from the point of view of using all the advantages presented by quantum computing and neural networks, as well as machine learning algorithms. Examples of the use of quantum computing in cognitive and social sciences for studying the decision-making mechanism with incomplete data are given. It is concluded that quantum informatics is promising for the simulation of complex natural and artificial phenomena and processes.

The Influence of the Quantum Information Science on Information Security

Zhou Xu-fen

The quantum information science is the science of quantum information processing technology. The quantum information processing technology includes quantum computing technology, quantum cryptography and quantum communication technologies, its impact on information security is great. The quantum computers and quantum algorithms made many difficult math problems solved easily, that is a direct threat to many of the traditional cryptography, and the anti-quantum attacks cryptographic algorithms became the focus of the theoretical research. Quantum cryptography and quantum teleportation can effectively improve the security of quantum communication networks and quantum signature technology. People encountered many challenges in the process of studying quantum information science, also made gratifying progress. People should adequately predict the impact of quantum informatics science on commercial, military, network, banking areas at the information age.

Research status and future of quantum information technology

Guang‐Can Guo

Quantum information technology is an emerging interdisciplinary field of quantum mechanics and information science, whose birth will promote a new era of human intelligence from classical technology to quantum technology. This paper elaborates on the research status and future of the field of quantum information technology. Moreover, this paper shows the vision of quantum technology, i.e., the construction of various types of quantum networks, including quantum cloud computing networks, distributed quantum computing, quantum sensor networks, and quantum key distribution networks. Quantum computers have transformed research from the laboratory to the development of practical devices led by these enterprises. Currently, research and development of quantum computers have shifted to the stage of noisy intermediate-scale quantum computers (NISQ). In the era of quantum technology, there is no absolutely secure secrecy system or omnipotent way of deciphering Information and information security has entered a new stage of “quantum offense and defense."

Quantum Information Processing

Thomas Beth

The theoretical, experimental and technological areas covering the use of quantum mechanics for communication and computation.Quantum information processing includes investigations in quantum information theory, quantum communication, quantum computation, quantum algorithms and their complexity, and quantum control. The science of quantum information processing is a highly interdisciplinary field. In the context of mathematics it is stimulating research in pure mathematics (e.g.coding theory, *algebras, quantum topology) as well as requiring and providing many opportunities for applied mathematics. The science of quantum information processing emerged from the recognition that usable notions of information need to be physically implementable. In the 1960s and 1970s researchers such as R. Landauer, C. Bennett, C. Helstrom and A. Holevo realized that the laws of physics give rise to fundamental constraints on the ability to implement and manipulate information.Landauer repeatedly stated that "information is physical", providing impetus to the idea that it should be possible to found theories of information on the laws of physics. This is in contrast to the introspective approach which led to the basic definitions of computer science and information theory as formulated by A. Church, A. Turing, C. Shannon and others in the first half of the 20th century.Early work in studying the physical foundations of information focused on the effects of energy limitations and the need for dissipating heat in computation and communication.Beginning with S. Wiesner's work on applications of quantum mechanics to cryptography in the late 1960s, it was realized that there may be intrinsic advantages to using quantum physics in information processing.Quantum cryptography and quantum communication in general were soon established as interesting and non-trivial extensions of classical communication based on bits. That quantum mechanics may be used to improve the efficiency of algorithms was first realized when attempts at simulating quantum mechanical systems resulted in exponentially complex algorithms compared to the physical resources associated with the system simulated. In the 1980s, P. Benioff and R. Feynman introduced the idea of a quantum computer for efficiently implementing quantum physics simulations.Models of quantum computers were developed by D. Deutsch, leading to the formulation of artificial problems that could be solved more efficiently by quantum than by classical computers. The advantages of quantum computers became widely recognized when P.
