Abstract

The basic invariants and the general forms of the invariants for a driven harmonic oscillator with time dependent frequency are studied. With the help of the basic invariant, the squeezed states and squeezed number states for this time-dependent system are also constructed.

The basic invariants and high-n squeezed states of the time-dependent harmonic oscillator

Tiezheng Qian, Jing-Bo Xu, Xiao-Chun Gao

A new concept of the basic invariants is introduced. With the help of the basic invariants, new high-n squeezed states of the time-dependent harmonic oscillator are constructed. From the basic invariants, the author also finds a general form of invariants which has not been seen thus far in the literature.

By making use of the basic invariant, the squeezed states of the harmonic oscillator with a time-dependent mass under the action of an arbitrary driving force are constructed. The general of the invariants for the system is also obtained.

Path integral approach to the general driven time-dependent harmonic oscillator and squeezed state

Jing‐Bo Xu, ZHANG XUN-SHENG, Shangbin Li

The time evolution of the general driven time-dependent harmonic oscillator is studied and the propagator and wave function are obtained by using a generalized canonical transformation and path integral method. We then proceed to construct the squeezed states for the system by making use of the wave function. The damped driven harmonic oscillator and the harmonic oscillator with strongly pulsating mass under the action of an arbitrary driving force are discussed as illustrative examples.

SQUEEZED STATES AND SQUEEZED-COHERENTSTATES OF THE GENERALIZED QUADRATICTIME-DEPENDENT HARMONICOSCILLATOR

U Yl

The problem of time evolution and squeezed states of the generalized quadratic time-dependent harmonic oscillator is studied by making use of the time-evolution operator approach. Then, the squeezed states and high-n squeezed states of the driven harmonic oscillator with strongly pulsating mass are constructed. Finally, we show how the squeezed-coherent states and high-n squeezed-coherent states, which preserve the minimum uncertainty codition, can be generated.

Time-dependent Displaced and Squeezed Number States

Sang Pyo Kim

We generalize the wave functions of the displaced and squeezed number states, found by Nieto, to a time-dependent harmonic oscillator with variable mass and frequency. These time-dependent displaced and squeezed number states are obtained by first squeezing and then displacing the exact number states and are exact solutions of the Schrödinger equation. Further, these wave functions are the time-dependent squeezed harmonic-oscillator wave functions centered at classical trajectories.

Frequency Switching of Quantum Harmonic Oscillator with Time-Dependent Frequency

Andrey K. Angelow

An explicit solution of the equation for the classical harmonic oscillator with smooth switching of the frequency has been found . A detailed analysis of a quantum harmonic oscillator with such frequency has been done on the base of the method of linear invariants. It has been shown that such oscillator possesses cofluctuant states, different from widely studied Glauber's coherent and "ideal" squeezed states.
