Abstract

By making use of the basic invariant, the squeezed states of the harmonic oscillator with a time-dependent mass under the action of an arbitrary driving force are constructed. The general of the invariants for the system is also obtained.

The basic invariants and the general forms of the invariants for a driven harmonic oscillator with time dependent frequency are studied. With the help of the basic invariant, the squeezed states and squeezed number states for this time-dependent system are also constructed.

The basic invariants and high-n squeezed states of the time-dependent harmonic oscillator

Tiezheng Qian, Jing-Bo Xu, Xiao-Chun Gao

A new concept of the basic invariants is introduced. With the help of the basic invariants, new high-n squeezed states of the time-dependent harmonic oscillator are constructed. From the basic invariants, the author also finds a general form of invariants which has not been seen thus far in the literature.

Path integral approach to the general driven time-dependent harmonic oscillator and squeezed state

Jing‐Bo Xu, ZHANG XUN-SHENG, Shangbin Li

The time evolution of the general driven time-dependent harmonic oscillator is studied and the propagator and wave function are obtained by using a generalized canonical transformation and path integral method. We then proceed to construct the squeezed states for the system by making use of the wave function. The damped driven harmonic oscillator and the harmonic oscillator with strongly pulsating mass under the action of an arbitrary driving force are discussed as illustrative examples.

Time-dependent harmonic oscillator with variable mass under the action of a driving force

M. Sebawe Abdalla

An exact solution is presented for the problem of a harmonic oscillator of time-dependent mass with an external driving force. The wave functions for both pseudostationary and quasicoherent states and the Green's function are calculated. A solution is obtained in the Heisenberg picture. The amplitude for transition from a coherent state to a simple harmonic-oscillator coherent state is calculated.

New quantum squeezed states for the time-dependent harmonic oscillator

Antonio Boulhosa Nassar

New generalized squeezed states for the time-dependent harmonic oscillator are found through the theory of invariants. Our method gives a comparatively clearer picture than methods using evolution operators because we can establish a direct connection between the classical and quantum solutions. The additional significance of our method is that it is possible to find new generalized quantum squeezed states from just one particular solution to the classical time-dependent oscillator. Accordingly, more general results for the variance of x (squared uncertainty) are found for the cases of linear sweep of the restoring force and compared to recent results encountered in the literature.
