Abstract

The Pancharatnam phase of a Tavis-Cummings model with the coherent state in Kerr medium is investigated theoretically and numerically. An exact expression of the Pancharatnam phase under this general system is obtained. The numerical results show that the dipole-dipole coupling strength between two atoms can change the quasi-period of the Pancharatnam phase evolution, and it is also proved that the Pancharatnam phase contains the information of atoms and the field. In the nonlinear interaction regime, the nonlinearity can cause the chaotic behavior of the Pancharatnam phase.

Pancharatnam phase properties of nonlinear Tavis-Cummings model with squeezed state

Xu Bin

The Pancharatnam phase properties of two coupling-atoms and a single-mode squeezed state light field in nonlinear Kerr medium were studied.Selecting proper initial conditions to solve the Schrodinger equation by the rotating wave approximation, and the Pancharatnam phase specific form was obtained. The results show that the two coupling-atoms' initial states are in any form, the Pancharatnam phase frequency increases when the interaction strength between atoms and light field, and the dipole-dipole coupling strength between two atoms or the Kerr medium's nonlinearity increases. The Pancharatnam phase evolution shows obvious trend of oscillating and rising(or fall) when the initial state is that two atoms are both in the excited states. As the growth of the Kerr medium'nonlinearity, the Pancharatnam phase evolution becomes disordered when the initial state is that just one atom is in excited state.

Pancharatnam phase for the generalized Jaynes–Cummings model with a nonlinear Kerr cavity

Mekki Aouachria, L. Chétouani

The formalism of path integral is used to treat the influence of Stark shift on the atomic population inversion (API) and Pancharatnam phase in the Jaynes–Cummings model with a nonlinear Kerr cavity. The propagators are given explicitly as perturbation series. In the case of a quantized wave interacting with a two-level system, these are summed up exactly, and the corresponding Pancharatnam phase as well as atomic population inversion, and energy spectrum with corresponding wave functions are deduced.

Nonlinear Jaynes–Cummings model for two interacting two-level atoms

O de los Santos-Sánchez, Carlos A. González-Gutiérrez, J. Récamier

Abstract In this work we examine a nonlinear version of the Jaynes–Cummings model for two identical two-level atoms allowing for Ising-like and dipole–dipole interplays between them. The model is said to be nonlinear in the sense that it can incorporate both a general intensity-dependent interaction between the atomic system and the cavity field and/or the presence of a nonlinear medium inside the cavity. As an example, we consider a particular type of atom-field coupling based upon the so-called Buck–Sukumar model and a lossless Kerr-like cavity. We describe the possible effects of such features on the evolution of some quantities of current interest, such as atomic excitation, purity, concurrence, the entropy of the field and the evolution of the latter in phase space.

Influence of the dipole-dipole interaction between atoms on the phase properties of light

Tian Yong-hong, PENG JIN-SHENG, Dahai Xu +1 more

The time evolution and the statistic characteristic of the light phase in the Tavis-Cummings (T-C) model of two identical two-level atoms coupled to a strong coherent light field are studied by means of the Pegg-Barnett phase theory. It is proved that the dipole-dipole interaction between atoms will lead to the frequency shift of light, the weakening of the degree of atom-field coupling and the restraint of light phase diffusion.

The dynamical properties in the nonlinear Jaynes-Cummings model

YX Huang, Y Wang, Zhan Zhan

The properties of state evolution of the atom, field, and atom-field systems in the intensity-dependent coupling Jaynes-Cummings Model with an additional Kerr medium are investigated by using the distance between density operators. The effects of nonlinearity interaction of Kerr medium and the average photon number of initial coherent field on the dynamical behaviour of the quantum system are discussed in comparison with the one-photon Jaynes-Cummings model with an additional Kerr medium.

Influence of Kerr Effect on the Atomic Occupancy in the Tavis-Cummings Model in Kerr Medium

Huang Zu-hong

?The time evolution of atomic occupancy in the system of two-mode squeezing vacuum field interacting with two coupled atoms in Kerr medium is studied by means of quantum theory. The influences of initial squeezed parameter r and coupled constant χ are discussed. The results show the periods of the collapses-revivals become short up to disappearance, as well as the amplitude of oscillations decreases with increasing the Kerr effect.
