Abstract

A novel protocol of quantum cryptography, called genuine quantum secure communication (GQSC), is proposed by using a new method for local quantum measurement discrimination (LQMD). After secure quantum channel being established, the transmission of secret messages in the GQSC protocol does not require classical channel. Compared with the previous protocols of quantum secure direct communication, the advantage of the present protocol is not only more security, but also higher covert.

A Novel Quantum Covert Channel Protocol Based on Any Quantum Secure Direct Communication Scheme

Shujiang Xu, Xiu‐Bo Chen, Xinxin Niu +1 more

By analyzing the basic properties of unitary transformations used in a quantum secure direct communication (QSDC) protocol, we show the main idea why a covert channel can be established within any QSDC channel which employs unitary transformations to encode information. On the basis of the fact that the unitary transformations used in a QSDC protocol are secret and independent, a novel quantum covert channel protocol is proposed to transfer secret messages with unconditional security. The performance, including the imperceptibility, capacity and security of the proposed protocol are analyzed in detail.

A quantum secure direct communication protocol for sending a quantum state and its security analysis

Yumiko Murakami, Masaki Nakanishi, Shigeru Yamashita +2 more

These days, quantum secret communication algorithms different from quantum key distribution protocol have been proposed, which are called quantum secure direct communication protocols. These do not aim to have a key agreement between two communicators, but, to send a secret message directly using quantum devices. In this paper, we propose a new quantum secret direct communication protocol which has advantages over the current ones and also discuss its security analysis against the man-in-the-middle attack.

QSDC: Future of Quantum Communication A Study

Baldeep Singh Dhillon, Manisha J. Nene

Quantum Secure Direct Communication (QSDC) is a distinctive protocol of quantum communication. It communicates confidential message straight through a quantum channel without a requirement of secret key and cipher-text. It is not solely useful in preventing eavesdropping throughout transmission, but additionally removes the security flaw related with storing and managing the key. Therefore, this protocol of secure communication is different from its typical equivalents and other quantum protocols. In this article, we will bring out the facts that how QSDC is different and better than other protocols of Quantum Communication. The transient details of all the protocols of Quantum communication are studied rigorously and compared with QSDC to demonstrate how QSDC is capable of overcoming the loopholes/shortcomings of alternative protocols. In this paper, protocols of QSDC to mitigate the possible threats available in practical QSDC are discussed and one of the protocol Measurement Device Independent QSDC is demonstrated along with the efficacy of results verified using quantum simulator and quantum machine. The results demonstrate its potential over other protocols of quantum communication and contribution towards empowering secure communication. With the benefits of QSDC over other protocols, it helps as mitigating technique for the possible threats available in other protocols of Quantum communication.

Quantum Secure Direct Communication Protocol Based on W State

Lü Xin

A novel two-party quantum secure direct communication protocol was proposed.By using ordered four-particle W state as carrier of information, encoding the secret message with unitary transformation,we can directly transmit secret message with local Bell-basis measurement and classical communication. In ideal channel, the protocol is secure against incoherent attack. The advantage of this scheme is that using W state is more little than GHZ state in energy loss and no quantum bit carrying secret message is transmitted in quantum channel.

QUANTUM SECURE DIRECT COMMUNICATION WITHOUT USING PERFECT QUANTUM CHANNEL

Jian Wang, Quan Zhang, Chaojing Tang

Most of quantum secure direct communication protocols need a pre-established secure quantum channel. Only after insuring the security of quantum channel, could the sender encode the secret message and send them to the receiver through the secure channel. In this paper, we present a quantum secure direct communication protocol using Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen pairs without insuring the security of quantum channel before transmitting the secret message. Compared with the protocol proposed by Deng et al. [Phys. Rev. A 68, 042317 (2003)] and the scheme proposed by Yan et al. [Euro. Phys. J. B 41, 75 (2004)], the present protocol provides higher efficiency.
