Abstract

We study the state transfer of Bell states in a general XY spin chain using the Dzyaloshinsky—Moriya interaction. Two symmetries of fidelity with the anisotropy parameter are found. The maximum fidelity is shown to be significantly enhanced in cases of an odd number of sites. Enhancement of fidelity on a singlet state is greater than that on the other Bell states in such cases.

Quantum critical phenomena in the XY spin chain with the Dzyaloshinski-Moriya interaction (Retracted article. See vol 80, artn 019903, 2009)

We study the effects of the Dzyaloshinski-Moriya (DM) anisotropic interaction on the ground-state properties of the Heisenberg XY spin chain by means of the fidelity susceptibility, order parameter, and entanglement entropy. Our results show that the DM interaction could influence the distribution of the regions of quantum phase transitions and cause different critical regions in the XY spin model. Meanwhile, the DM interaction has effective influence on the degree of entanglement of the system and could be used to increase the entanglement of the spin system.

Optimal teleportation via thermal entangled states of a two-qubit Heisenberg chain

Yue Zhou, Guo-Feng Zhang, Shu-Shen Li +1 more

We study the optimal teleportation based on Bell measurements via the thermal states of a two-qubit Heisenberg XXX chain in the presence of the Dzyaloshinsky-Moriya (DM) anisotropic antisymmetric interaction and obtain an optimal unitary transformation. The explicit expressions of the output state and the teleportation fidelity are presented and compared with those of the standard protocol. It is shown that in this protocol the teleportation fidelity is always larger and the unit fidelity is achieved at zero temperature. The DM interaction can enhance the teleportation fidelity at finite temperatures, as opposed to the effect of the interaction in the standard protocol. Cases with other types of anisotropies are also discussed.

Induced modification of the geometric phase of a qubit coupled to an XY spin chain by Dzyaloshinsky—Moriya interaction

Aiping Zhang, Fuli Li

We consider a qubit symmetrically and transversely coupled to an XY spin chain with Dzyaloshinsky—Moriya (DM) interaction in the presence of a transverse magnetic field. An analytical expression for the geometric phase of the qubit is obtained in the weak coupling limit. We find that the modification of the geometrical phase induced by the spin chain environment is greatly enhanced by DM interaction in the weak coupling limit around the quantum phase transition point of the spin chain.

Thermal Entanglement of an XY Two-Qutrit Spin Chain with Dzialoshinski–Moriya Interaction

Xiao-San Ma, Wang An-Min

The effect of Dzialoshinski–Moriya (DM) interaction on thermal entanglement of an XY two-qutrit spin chain is investigated. We find that DM interaction and the anisotropy parameter can enhance quantum thermal entanglement to a maximal value individually. However, when both of them take large values, the entanglement is not enhanced, but is destroyed. Our analysis will shed some light on the understanding of the effect of the DM interaction on thermal entanglement of an XY two-qutrit spin chain.

Loschmidt Echo of a central spin coupled to an XY spin chain: The role of the Dzyaloshinsky-Moriya interaction

Han‐li Lian

By introducing the Dzyaloshinsky-Moriya (DM) interaction, the Loschmidt Echo ( LE ) of a quantum system consisting of a central spin and its surrounding environment characterized by an XY spin chain was investigated analytically and numerically. At the critical points of the magnetic field, the LE presents an obvious decay. The decay amplitude can be tuned by the DM interaction. In some specific intervals the DM interaction can remarkably delay the decay of the LE . On the other hand, the DM interaction can change the effects of the anisotropy parameter on the LE.

Geometric phases and quantum phase transitions in inhomogeneous XY spin-chains: Effect of the Dzyaloshinski–Moriya interaction

Lincheng Wang, Yan Jun-yan, Yi Xue-Xi

We study geometric phases of the ground states of inhomogeneous XY spin chains in transverse fields with Dzyaloshinski–Moriya (DM) interaction, and investigate the effect of the DM interaction on the quantum phase transition (QPT) of such spin chains. The results show that the DM interaction could influence the distribution of the regions of QPTs but could not produce new critical points for the spin-chain. This study extends the relation between geometric phases and QPTs.
