Abstract

We study the time evolution of a quantum system with Hamiltonian consisting of time-dependent linear combination of SU(1,1) and SU(2) generators. A proper hermitian invariant operator has been found to obtain not only closed formulas for the time evolution of quantum states but also the time evolution operators for both the SU(1, 1) and SU(2) systems. The time evolution operators have been used to investigate the time-dependent two photons and SU(2) squeezing states and squeezing properties of the time-dependent SU(1,1) coherent states.

Time evolution of quantum systems with time-dependent Hamiltonian and the invariant Hermitian operator

Y-Z Lai, J.-Q. Liang, Harald J W Müller-Kirsten +1 more

We study the time evolution of a class of exactly solvable time-dependent quantum systems with a time-dependent Hamiltonian given by a linear combination of SU(1,1) and SU(2) generators with the help of the invariant Hermitian operator. The exact common solutions of the Schrödinger equations for both the SU(1,1) and SU(2) systems are obtained in terms of eigenstates of the invariant operator. The adiabatic and non-adiabatic Berry phases are calculated with the exact solutions. Moreover, we derive an explicit time-evolution operator which is used to investigate the time-dependent two-photon squeezing states and SU(2) squeezing states. The squeezing properties of the time-dependent SU(1,1) coherent states are also discussed.

We study the time evolution of quantum systems with a time-dependent non-Hermitian Hamiltonian given by a linear combination of SU(1,1) and SU(2) generators. With a time-dependent metric, the pseudo-Hermitian invariant operator is constructed in the same manner as for both the SU(1,1) and SU(2) systems. TIME EVOLUTION AND SQUEEZED STATES OF A TIME-DEPEDENT OSCILLATOR SYSTEM

Dang Lan-fen, 河北大学物理系,保定 071002

In this paper are discussed the time evolution and squeezed states of a time-depedent oscillator system. We obtain closed formulas for the time evolution of quantum states and the evolution operator of the system by selecting proper Hermitian invariant operator. We derive the condition generating squeezed states and obtain that the drive part does not influence the squeezed states of the system.

NON-UNITARY TRANSFORMATION OF QUANTUM TIME-DEPENDENT NON-HERMITIAN SYSTEMS

Mustapha Maamache

We provide a new perspective on non-Hermitian evolution in quantum mechanics by emphasizing the same method as in the Hermitian quantum evolution. We first give a precise description of the non unitary transformation and the associated evolution, and collecting the basic results around it and postulating the norm preserving. This cautionary postulate imposing that the time evolution of a non Hermitian quantum system preserves the inner products between the associated states must not be read naively. We also give an example showing that the solutions of time-dependent non Hermitian Hamiltonian systems given by a linear combination of SU(1,1) and SU(2) are obtained thanks to time-dependent non-unitary transformation.
