Abstract

In this paper, we investigate the entanglement dynamics of two entangled two-level atoms interacting with a single-mode field in a dissipative cavity. The results show that the evolution properties of the entanglement degree of two entangled atoms depend on the initial atomic entanglement degree and form, the average photon number of the cavity field, and the cavity leakage rate. When the atoms are initially in a particular entangled state, the degree of entanglement can be amplified and not influenced by the dissipation of the cavity field.

The entangleable properties of two atoms inside the dissipative cavity

Zhang Li-Hui

We have investigated the entangleable properties of two two-level atoms inside the dissipative cavity coupled to a single-mode radiation field under the big detuning, and discussed the influence of the initial state of the two atoms, the cavitity decay constant and the mean photon number on the entanglement degree. It have shown that if the two atoms are initially in the exicited or the ground states, they will be separate always;if the two atoms are initially in the coherent superposition of the excited and the ground states, the influence of cavity dissipation on the entanglement degree will vanish gradually with the time evolution, but the dipole-dipole interaction can enhance the entanglement degree.

The Entanglement Properties of Two Λ-type atoms in a Dissipative Cavity

Liu Bao-ping

The entanglement between two Λ-type three-level atoms interacting with coherent field in a dissipative cavity is investigated by means of the entanglement degree of quantum conditional entropy.A solution of the master equation is obtained by super operator method. The authors discuss the entanglement between the two atoms based on two kinds of different initial states(|ψa(0),|Φa(0)) and analyze the influence of decay coefficient of the cavity and mean photon number of the field on entanglement degree. In conclusion, when the atoms are initially in entangled state |ψa(0),the evolution of the entanglement degree depends on decay coefficient of the cavity and intensity of the field. If there is absence of dissipation, the entanglement degree evolves periodically;otherwise, the entanglement degree decays sharply and approaches a stable value. The weaker the intensity of the field is,the greater the stable value becomes. The greater the decay coefficient is,the faster it reaches the stable value. But for the other initial entangled state |Φa(0),the entanglement between the two atoms doesn't evolve with the time.It implies that the entangled state |Φa(0) can be preserved in such a dissipative system.

Entanglement in a system of two two-level atoms interacting with a single-mode field

Jin Li-Juan, Mao-Fa Fang

We investigate the entanglement in a system of two coupling atoms interacting with a single-mode field by means of quantum information entropy theory. The quantum entanglement between the two atoms and the coherent field is discussed by using the quantum reduced entropy, and the entanglement between the two coupling atoms is also investigated by using the quantum relative entropy. In addition, the influences of the atomic dipole–dipole interaction intensity and the average photon number of the coherent field on the degree of the entanglement is examined. The results show that the evolution of the degree of entanglement between the two atoms and the field is just opposite to that of the degree of entanglement between the two atoms. And the properties of the quantum entanglement in the system rely on the atomic dipole–dipole interaction and the average photon number of the coherent field.

Entanglement of atoms passing consecutively through one-mode cavity

Eugene K. Bashkirov

In this paper we investigated the entanglement dynamics of a pair of two-level atoms passing through a vacuum or thermal cavity one after another. We assumed that two atoms were initially prepared in separable coherent or entangled states. Using the exact solution of the density matrix evolution equation we calculated the time dependence of negativity for models with one-and two-photon interaction between atoms and the cavity field. For the two-photon model we took into account the dynamical Stark shift. We have found that the degree of atom-atom entanglement can be controlled by the Stark shift and cavity mean photon numbers.

Dynamic Behavior of Entanglement Between Two Spatially Separated Atoms in Two Dissipative and Driven Cavity Fields

Cui Hui-Ping, Jian Li, Liu Jin +1 more

We consider two two-level atoms, interacting with two independent dissipative cavities, each of which is driven by an external source. The two cavity fields are both initially prepared in the coherent states, and the two two-level atoms are initially prepared in the singlet state |Ψ − ⟩ = (|eg⟩ – |ge⟩)/√2. We investigate the influence of the damping constant κ, the intensity of the external sources F, and the relative difference of the atomic couplings r on the entanglement between the two atoms. In the dispersive approximation, we find that the entanglement between the two atoms decreases with the time evolution, and the decreasing rate of entanglement depends on the values of F/κ, κ/ω, and r. For the given small values of F/κ and κ/ω, on the one hand, the increasing of r favors entanglement decreasing of the atomic system, on the other hand, when r → 1 the entanglement decreasing becomes slower. With the increasing of the value of κ/ω, the influence of r on the decreasing rate of entanglement becomes smaller, and gradually disappears for the big value of κ/ω.

Linear entropy evolution in a dissipative system of two atoms and cavity field

Xiong Yang, Zhao-Yang Tong, Shao-Hua Xiang +1 more

Some investigations have been made on the evolution of the linear entropies of atom-field system, in which two identical two-level atoms simultaneously interact with a single-mode dissipative cavity field under large detuning. The effects of the initial atom states and the dissipative factors of the cavity on all linear entropies are also discussed. The results show that the influence of the cavity decay constant on different kinds of Bell states is completely different, and the state |Ψ〉12 is a robust entangled state against the decoherence while the state |Φ〉12 is a fragile entangled state.
