All electrons, nucleons, and other particles or quanta (because quantum mechanics is applied to all particles, these should be known as quanta) undergo a persistent spin motion without possessing any infinite energy source, and therefore, they should have a unique structure that provides their persistent spinning, as well as their other properties that they display. Additionally, because nothing in nature occurs without a reason or purpose, there should be an explanation for the persistent spinning motion. This study determines the purpose behind the persistent spinning motion of quanta, their unique structures, and properties. The results of the determination of the purpose, named “a new quantum theory”, provide very clear and complete explanations for all the phenomena generated due to quanta. Some such phenomena included in this study are: 1) the interference and diffraction of photons and electrons; 2) spectroscopy; 3) transmittance T, which is finite for particles possessing energy E < V0, when V0 is the energy of the potential barrier; 4) rate reduction of increasing velocity in accelerating electrons after they have attained their relativistic velocity; 5) acquisition of elliptical orbits by orbiting electrons despite moving in a spherically symmetric field, and conservations of their energy, momentum, and spin angular momentum.

All electrons, nucleons, and other particles or quanta (because quantum mechanics is applied to all particles, these should be known as quanta) undergo a persistent spin motion without possessing any infinite energy source, and therefore, they should have a unique structure that maintains their spinning and provides all the properties that they display. Additionally, because nothing in nature occurs without a reason or purpose, there should be an explanation for their persistent spinning motion. The photons also possess spin motion that they derive from the orbiting electrons from which the photons are emitted, and not obtain from their unique structure. Therefore, purpose why all electrons, nucleons, and other particles possess persistent spin motion, and unique structures of electrons and nucleons have been determined. The results of the determination of the purpose why all electrons, nucleons, and other particles possess persistent spin motion provide very clear and complete explanations for all related phenomena. Present study is focused on to provide clear and complete understanding of the phenomena of interference and diffraction of electrons and photons.
The photons & the quantum particles display several mysterious Quantum Phenomena which could not be explained earlier. The New Quantum Theory explains not only the long pending Wave Particle Duality but also all other mysterious Quantum Phenomena. The New Quantum Theory is based on the analogy of the atoms & the solar system and not only supplements but also completes the Quantum Theory. This work explains “how & why” a photon, an electron or quanta generates the electric & the magnetic fields of continuously varying intensities & in the changing directions to form a 3-D Electromagnetic wave. The electromagnetic fields generated by the photons/quantum particles interact with the electromagnetic fields of the mediums (conductor, semicon-ductor or insulator etc.) to display several mysterious Quantum Phenomena. These interactions are strong enough to change the spin, wavelength, amplitude & direction of the quantum particles in the medium. The spin-orbit interlocking/interactions, transverse spin, vortex spin texture & evanescent waves etc. are the results of such interactions. This work explains some of the quantum phenomena in brief so that the various Quantum Phenomena can be modified & developed for the different applications.
Up to this point, our study of quantum mechanics has concerned itself with the behaviour of particles that inhabit a Galilean spacetime. For many purposes, in atomic, molecular and condensed matter physics, this theory is quite adequate. We saw in earlier chapters, however, that our actual spacetime has a structure which is much closer to that of the Minkowski spacetime of special relativity and that more general structures must be considered when gravitational phenomena are signicant. From a purely theoretical point of view, it is therefore important to formulate quantum theory in a way which is consistent with these more general spacetimes. The benets of constructing a relativistic quantum theory actually go far beyond the aesthetic satisfaction of making our geometrical and quantum-mechanical reasoning compatible. For one thing, we shall discover that the relativistic theory provides a deeper understanding of spin and the distinction between fermions and bosons, which in the non-relativistic theory appear simply as facts of life that we must strive to accommodate. Also, of course, there are many situations in which relativistic eects become observable, for which non-relativistic theory provides no explanation. The most obvious are high-energy scattering experiments, in which particles acquire kinetic energies comparable with or greater than their rest energies mc2, and the correct 4-momentum (3.33) must be used. There are, however, more subtle eects, such as the spin-orbit coupling that is essential for interpreting atomic spectra, which are also of relativistic origin.

Most students of science and engineering know that every elementary particle, such as electrons, neutrons, photons, neutrinos, etc., has a quantum mechanical property called “spin” which can be measured (perhaps not easily, but at least in principle) and has a quantized value, including zero. The vast majority of these students mentally visualize spin as the angular momentum associated with the elementary particle spinning or rotating about its own axis (like a top or a planetary object). This mental picture, although convenient and comforting, is actually somewhat crude and certainly incomplete. Landau and Lifshitz, in their classic textbook on quantum mechanics [1], wrote “[the spin] property of elementary particles is peculiar to quantum theory. [It] has no classical interpretation... It would be wholly meaningless to imagine the ‘intrinsic’ angular momentum of an elementary particle as being the result of its rotation about its own axis.” The simplistic notion of self-rotation about an axis, shown in Fig. 1.1, can- not explain many features of spin, such as why its magnitude cannot assume continuous values and why it is quantized to certain specific values. It also causes serious problems if taken too literally. As we will see later (Problem 1.2), if we think of an electron as a solid sphere of radius equal to the Lorentz radius e2/(4πǫ0m0c 2) (where e is the electron’s charge, m0 is the mass, c is the speed of light in vacuum, and ǫ0 is the dielectric constant of vacuum), then the velocity on the surface of a rotating electron would have to be many times the velocity of light in vacuum if such a rotation were to generate an angular momentum equal to the electron’s spin. Obviously that would not be permitted by the theory of relativity. Indeed, a deep understanding of quantum mechanics is required to understand how the spin property comes about. Its origin is in relativistic quantum mechanics and really was first appreciated by Paul Andrew Maurice Dirac when he derived the Dirac equation which is the cornerstone of relativistic quantum mechanics. Richard Feynman, noted for his distaste for mysticism in physics, wrote about the notion of “spin”: “It appears to be one of the few places in physics where there is a rule which can be stated very simply, but for which no one has found a simple and easy explanation. The explanation is down deep in relativistic quantum mechanics.
The entropy approach to a description of quantum processes, represented like the Markov chain, is elaborated. It is supposed that at an atomic scale the law of the conservation of entropy holds. From this principle issues the simple explanation of the different behavior of bosons and fermions in experiments with scattering particles, proved by Pauli. Introducing in consideration Markov’ chain, applied to a motion of particles, made possible to write an equation, determining the change of their states. This pure logical result, completed by physical laws, brought to a new equation, generalizing Schrödinger one. It includes electric and magnetic fields as well as the spin of particles. Analysis of its solution for a case of only electric field, led to the formula of tunnel effect. Consideration of the motion of a particle in magnetic field gave the fundamental expression of Lorentz force without any mention of electrodynamics. Addition of an angular momentum in the reasoning by including Hamiltonian, allowed deducing the result, which coincides with the spherically symmetric Schrödinger equation for hydrogen atom. In general case there is the system of equations. If the atom is put in a weak magnetic field, without a possibility of flipping, the classical formulas of Bohr radius orbits and Rydberg energy obtained. The property of intrinsic quantization of electron spin ħ/2 is explained easily as a solution of the proposed system. These equations do not repeat the known arguments only, but can predict the new phenomena. They describe the effect of spin depolarization of electrons in a strong magnetic field, earlier considered been related to vacuum polarization. The obtained solution gives its magnetic induction equal about 1012 Gs, that corresponds well with experimental data.
