From Complex Fractional Fourier Transform to Complex Fractional Radon Transform

Abstract

We show that for n-dimensional complex fractional Fourier transform the corresponding complex fractional Radon transform can also be derived, however, it is different from the direct product of two n-dimensional real fractional Radon transforms. The complex fractional Radon transform of two-mode Wigner operator is calculated.

Fractional Radon Transform and Transform of Wigner Operator

Fan Hong-Yi, Junhua Chen

Based on the Radon transform and fractional Fourier transform we introduce the fractional Radon transformation (FRT). We identify the transform kernel for FRT. The FRT of Wigner operator is derived, which naturally reduces to the projector of eigenvector of the rotated quadrature in the usual Radon transform case.

Relationships between the Radon–Wigner and fractional Fourier transforms

Adolf W. Lohmann, Bernard H. Soffer

Two recently described transforms are shown to be related. The Radon–Wigner transform is the squared modulus of the fractional Fourier transform. This new theorem may serve to translate signal and image processing results between different signal representations. Some consequences regarding moments are presented, including a new fractional-Fourier-transform uncertainty relation. Implications for processing are suggested.

On the definition of complex fractional Fourier transform

Fan Hong-Yi

In a recent paper of Optics Letter (Fan Hongyi and Lu Hailiang, Optics Letters 28 (2003) 680) the complex fractional Fourier transform (CFFRT) is introduced, which is different from the usual two-dimensional real fractional Fourier transforms. In the present work we illuminate its definition from the point of view of rotation of the complex form of Wigner distributions as well as from the view of optical propagation mechanism in graded-index medium. The newly constructed quantum mechanical entangled state representations are used to link CFFRT to the Wigner distributions.

Applications of Weyl Ordered Two-Mode Wigner Operator for Quantum Mechanical Entangled System

Fan Hong‐Yi

Based on the technique of integral within a Weyl ordered product of operators, we present applications of the Weyl ordered two-mode Wigner operator for quantum mechanical entangled system, e.g., we derive the complex Wigner transform and its relation to the complex fractional Fourier transform, as well as the entangled Radon transform.
