Abstract

A generic su(1,1) Tavis-Cummings model is solved both by the quantum inverse method and within a conventional quantum-mechanical approach. Examples of corresponding quantum dynamics including squeezing properties of the su(1,1) Perelomov coherent states for the multiatom case are given.

Quantum dynamics of the intensity-dependent Tavis-Cummings model

Andrei V. Rybin, Georgii P. Miroshnichenko, Ilya P Vadeiko +1 more

An exactly solvable generalization of the intensity-dependent Jaynes-Cummings model to the case of N 0 atoms is introduced together with its solution. The quantum dynamics of the model including the squeezing properties of the su (1,1) Perelomov and Glauber coherent states is investigated. The cases of one and two atoms present in the cavity are analysed in detail. These two cases are compared in the situation when the atomic subsystem is initially prepared in the ground state, the Dicke state and the state of thermal equilibrium.

Generalized Tavis-Cummings models and quantum networks

Alexander V. Gorokhov

The properties of quantum networks based on generalized Tavis-Cummings models are theoretically investigated. We have calculated the information transfer success rate from one node to another in a simple model of a quantum network realized with two-level atoms placed in the cavities and interacting with an external laser field and cavity photons. The method of dynamical group of the Hamiltonian and technique of corresponding coherent states were used for investigation of the temporal dynamics of the two nodes model.

The Two-Photon Jaynes-Cummings Model: A Coherent State Approach

Flávio Cordeiro, Constança Providência, Seiya Nishiyama

It is shown, by conventional mean-field technics, that su(2)⊗su(1, 1) coherent states are a good choice for describing the two-photon Jaynes-Cummings model in the sense that results based on mean-field methods for those states are in good agreement with exact results. We also find that this agreement is much improved if the constant of motion of the model is implemented exactly instead of being implemented only in the average. This is done by projecting the su(2) ⊗ su(1, 1) coherent states onto the physical subspaces. It is seen that the Hamiltonian of the model is unbounded from below, i.e., it lacks a ground-state. We also present and study a stabilized version of the model such that the relevant physical features are preserved. Along the article, special attention is given to the description of the super-radiant phase transition exhibited by the model.

The Generalized Tavis—Cummings Model with Cavity Damping

N. M. Bogoliubov, Andrei V. Rybin

In this Communication, we consider a generalised Tavis–Cummings model when the damping process is taken into account. We show that the quantum dynamics governed by a non-Hermitian Hamiltonian is exactly solvable using the Quantum Inverse Scattering Method, and the Algebraic Bethe Ansatz. The leakage of photons is described by a Lindblad-type master equation. The non-Hermitian Hamiltonian is diagonalised by state vectors, which are elementary symmetric functions parametrised by the solutions of the Bethe equations. The time evolution of the photon annihilation operator is defined via a corresponding determinant representation.
