Abstract

We have studied the squeezing and the amplitude--squared squeezing properties of the radiation field in the tw o-- photon Tavis-- Cum m in gs model when the in iiial ca yi tyfields are in the SU(l, I ) coherent states with Barsmahn index k ̄ I /4.

Two-photon Jaynes-Cummings model interacting with the squeezed vacuum

Christopher C. Gerry

We consider squeezed light described as an SU(1,1) coherent state interacting with a two-photon Jaynes-Cummings model of a two-level atom. We study the time variation of the mean photon number and also the variance of the field quadratures with particular regard to the squeezing.

The amplitude-squared, sum and difference squeezing in the interaction of two quantized field modes with a two-level atom

A.M. Abdel-Hafez, A.‐S. F. Obada

The sum, difference and amplitude-squared squeezing are investigated for a generalized Jaynes-Cummings model with two field modes. Different initial states for the two-level atom are considered, and the dependence on the relative phases between the atomic and field coherent states is investigated.

Periodic Squeezing in the Tavis-Cummings Model

Saad S. M. Hassan, M. Sebawe Abdalla, A.‐S. F. Obada +1 more

By utilizing our previous operator solution [17], we have investigated the squeezing in the radiation field of the Tavis-Cummings model (collective N ≫ 1 two-level atoms interacting with a resonant single cavity quantized mode). With field and atoms initially in coherent field state strong or weak and atomic coherent state (of few excited atoms), periodic time-dependent squeezing in the field and the macroscopic polarization is expressed in terms of Jacobian elliptic functions of the first kind. The statistical investigations are carried out for the quasiprobability distribution functions (Wigner function and Q function). The distribution function of the field quadrature has a variance less (greater) than that for a coherent state if this quadrature is squeezed (unsqueezed).

Squeezing and higher-order squeezing in one- and two-photon Jaynes-Cummings models

Christopher C. Gerry, Patrick J. Moyer

We consider the squeezing of the electromagnetic field resulting form the interaction of light in a coherent state with one- and two-photon Jaynes-Cummings models of the two-level atom. We also consider high-order squeezing in the sense of Hong and Mandel [Phys. Rev. Lett. 54, 323 (1985)] and also of Hillery [Phys. Rev. A 36, 3796 (1987)].

Amplitude-squared squeezing effect of field in interaction of two coupling two-level-atoms with coherent state

LU Dao-ming

Amplitude-squared squeezing effect of field in interaction of two coupling two-level-atoms with coherent state is studied, using T-C model. The results obtained using the numerical method show that with increasing of coupling constant between atoms and intensity of field,amplitude-squared squeezing effect is getting stronger.

Quantum properties of two-level atoms interacting with nonlinear coherent states

Wen-Jian Yu, Ji‐Suo Wang, Liang Bao-Long

Using the numerical method, we study the collapse and the recovery of atom, the anti-bunching and the amplitude-squared squeezing of two-level atoms interacting with nonlinear coherent field. The variations of the quantum properties with the parameter of light field, the initial state of the atom and the Lamb-Dicke parameter of the nonlinear coherent state are discussed.
