Scheme for implementing phase-covariant anti-cloning via a single nonresonant asymmetric atom–cavity coupling

Abstract

A scheme is proposed for the implementation of phase-covariant anti-cloning in a single step. In the scheme N atoms dispersively interact with a cavity, with the coupling of the first atom different from that of the other atoms. Throughout the procedure the cavity is only virtually excited and thus the cavity decay is suppressed. The asymmetric nonresonant coupling can also be used to perform a one-step entangling operation.

Preparation of multipartite entangled states and one-step implementation of 1→M economical phase-covariant quantum anti-cloning in cavity QED

Fanyu Meng, Ai‐Dong Zhu, Kyu-Hwang Yeon +1 more

The scheme for preparing a multipartite entangled state and implementing 1→M economical phase-covariant quantum anti-cloning only by one step are proposed. By using the symmetric and asymmetric interactions between N atoms and the cavity, N-particle Greenberger–Horne–Zeilinger (GHZ) and W states are prepared, respectively. Furthermore, a scheme of 1→M anti-cloning is also proposed through preparing the W state. The decoherence from atomic spontaneous emission is negligible due to the excited state of the atom being adiabatically eliminated under large detuning. The scheme is insensitive to the cavity decay due to the cavity only being virtually excited. The experimental feasibility of the present scheme is also discussed.

Scheme to Implement Optimal Asymmetric Economical Phase-Covariant Quantum Cloning in Cavity QED

Wen‐Hai Zhang, Dai Jie-lin, Ye Liu

We propose an experimentally feasible scheme to implement the optimal asymmetric economical 1 → 2 phase-covariant quantum cloning in two dimensions based on the cavity QED technique. The protocol is very simple and only two atoms are required. Our scheme is insensitive to the cavity field states and cavity decay. During the processes, the cavity is only virtually excited and it thus greatly prolongs the efficient decoherent time. Therefore, it may be realized in experiment.

Scheme to Implement the Optimal Asymmetric Economical 1→3 phase-covariant Cloning in Cavity QED

Da-Rong Qiu, Wen‐Hai Zhang, Ye Liu

We propose an experimentally feasible scheme to implement the optimal asymmetric economical 1→3 phase-covariant cloning, which works without ancilla, based on cavity QED. In our scheme, two of the three atoms simultaneously interact with a cavity field and they are driven by classical fields. The scheme is insensitive to the cavity field states and the cavity decay. Therefore, it may be realized in experiment.

Multi-atom entanglement engineering and phase-covariant cloning via adiabatic passage

Shi‐Biao Zheng

A scheme is proposed for the generation of entangled states for multiple atoms trapped in an optical cavity via adiabatic passage. In the scheme, both the atomic system and the cavity have no probability of being excited. Thus both the atomic spontaneous emission and the cavity decay are suppressed, which makes our scheme very robust against decoherence. Taking advantage of the adiabatic process, the scheme does not require accurate adjustment of the interaction time. Furthermore, the scheme is scalable in principle. The idea can also be used for realizing phase-covariant cloning.
