Quantum superdense coding via cavity-assisted interactions

Abstract

Quantum superdense coding (QSC) is an example of how entanglement can be used to minimize the number of carriers of classical information. This paper proposes two schemes for implementing QSC by means of cavity assisted interactions with single-photon pulses. The schemes are insensitive to the cavity decay and the thermal field, thus it might be realizable based on the current cavity QED techniques.

Scheme for implementing quantum dense coding in cavity QED

Ye Liu, Guang‐Can Guo

An experimentally feasible scheme for implementing quantum dense coding in cavity QED is proposed. In the scheme the atoms interact simultaneously with a highly detuned cavity mode with the assistance of a classical field. The scheme is insensitive to the cavity decay and the thermal field. Bell states can be exactly distinguished via detecting the atomic state, and the quantum dense coding can be realized in a simple way.

Quantum–classical hybrid quantum superdense coding

Wei Yang, Liusheng Huang, An Liu +2 more

Quantum superdense coding (QSC) is an interesting application of quantum communications. It exploits the special property of quantum entanglement to perform classical communications and results in a spectacular result. In this paper, the density of QSC problem is investigated and a time synchronization mechanism is shown to be helpful for improving the coding efficiency. A new quantum–classical hybrid QSC scheme based on a time synchronization mechanism is proposed. The scheme is extended to the case in which any number of qubits (and further qudits) are involved. A desirable coding efficiency, which is shown to converge to log2(d + 1) (where d denotes the dimension of the quantum system employed) in the generalized case, is deduced for this time-assisted superdense coding.

SCHEME FOR IMPLEMENTING QUANTUM DENSE CODING USING MULTI-ATOM IN CAVITY QED

Ye Liu, Bao‐Long Fang

We propose an experimentally feasible scheme for implementing quantum dense coding in cavity QED. In this scheme, the multi-atoms interact simultaneously with a highly detuned cavity mode, and are driven by a strong classical field. The scheme is insensitive to the cavity decay and the thermal field. Only one interaction between atoms and cavity is required. Multi-atom's GHZ-states can be exactly distinguished via detecting the atomic state, and the quantum dense coding can be realized in a simple way.

Scheme for Implementing Quantum Dense Coding and Teleportation with Tripartite Entangled State in Cavity QED

Jia Chun-Xia, Peng Zhao-Hui

In this paper, we present a peculiar tripartite entangled state that is inequivalent to both the GHZ state and the W state, and then propose to implement efficient quantum information processing such as quantum dense coding and teleportation with this entangled state in cavity QED. In this scheme the atoms interact with a highly detuned cavity field with the assistance of a strong classical driven field. It does not require the transfer of quantum information between the atomic system and the cavity, and then our scheme is insensitive to both the cavity decay and the thermal field.

Quantum Teleportation and Superdense Coding via W-Class States

Wu Huaizhi, Zhen‐Biao Yang, Zheng Shi-Biao

According to the protocol of Agrawal et al. , we propose a cavity QED scheme for realization of teleportation and dense coding. Instead of using EPR states and GHZ states, our scheme is more insensitive to the loss of one particle by using a W-class state as a quantum channel. Besides, our scheme is immune to thermal field, and does not require the cavity to remain in the vacuum state throughout the procedure.

A simple scheme for implementing four-atom quantum dense coding in cavity QED

Zheng Xiao-Juan, Hui Xu, Mao-Fa Fang +1 more

An experimentally feasible scheme for implementing four-atom quantum dense coding of an atom–cavity system is proposed. The cavity is only virtually excited and no quantum information will be transferred from the atoms to the cavity. Thus the scheme is insensitive to cavity decay and the thermal field. In the scheme, Alice can send faithfully 4 bits of classical information to Bob by sending two qubits. Generalized Bell states can be exactly distinguished by detecting the atomic state, and quantum dense coding can be realized in a simple way.
