We introduce the coordinate-dependent N-mode squeezing transformation and show that it can be constructed by the combination of two unitary transformations, a coordinate-dependent displacement followed by the standard squeezed transformation. The properties of the corresponding N-mode squeezed states are also discussed.
We introduce the coordinate-dependent one- and two-mode squeezing transformations and discuss the properties of the corresponding one-and two-mode squeezed states. We show that the coordinate-dependent one-and two-mode squeezing transformations can be constructed by the combination of two transformations, a coordinate-dependent displacement followed by the standard squeezed transformation. Such a decomposition turns a nonlinear problem into a linear one because all the calculations involving the nonlinear one- and two-mode squeezed transformation have been shown to be able to reduce to those only concerning the standard one- and two-mode squeezed states.
We show that the nonlinear quadrature-dependent Bogoliubov transformations proposed by Siena et al. [Phys. Rev. A 64, 063803 (2001)] can in fact be constructed by the combination of two unitary transformations, a quadrature-dependent displacement followed by the standard squeezed transformation. Such a decomposition turns a nonlinear problem into an essentially linear one so that we are able to express explicitly the mean values and deviations of the quadrature operators and the photon variables under the multiphoton states in terms of those quantities averaged over the standard squeezed states involving only the quadrature-independent Bogoliubov transformation.
We find that the exponential operators U=exp[-i(${\ensuremath{\lambda}}_{1}$Q1P2+${\ensuremath{\lambda}}^{2}$Q2P1] and W=exp[-i(${\ensuremath{\lambda}}_{1}$Q1Q2-${\ensuremath{\lambda}}_{2}$pP1P2)] (where ${\ensuremath{\lambda}}_{1}$ and ${\ensuremath{\lambda}}_{2}$ are real; Pi and Qi are coordinate and momentum operators, respectively; and i=1,2) are two types of generalized squeezing operators responsible for generating two types of one- and two-mode combination squeezed states, respectively. The coordinate and/or momentum representations of U and W are presented, and their normal product forms are first derived in terms of the newly developed technique of integration within an ordered product, which provides us with a direct approach to constructing these new squeezed states. The fluctuations in quadrature phases for these states are analyzed.
We discuss the unitary operator corresponding to the general two-mode coordinate-momentum mixed transformation , where and are arbitrary real numbers. Suitably selecting the parameters and , we obtain a new two-mode bosonic realization of the Lie algebra. We also study the squeezing effects of the squeezed vacuum associated with the new two-mode bosonic realization of the Lie algebra. The results show that the new squeezed vacuum does not possess second-order squeezing, but exhibits higher-order squeezing.
We find that the exponential operator V ≡exp[ i λ( Q 1 P 2 + Q 2 P 3 +⋅⋅⋅+ Q n −1 P n + Q n P 1 )], Q i , P i are, respectively, the coordinate and momentum operators, is an n -mode squeezing operator which engenders standard squeezing. By virtue of the technique of integration within an ordered product of operators we derive V 's normally ordered expansion and obtain the n -mode squeezed vacuum states, its Wigner function is calculated by using the Weyl ordering invariance under similar transformations.
