Abstract

We discuss the unitary operator corresponding to the general two-mode coordinate-momentum mixed transformation , where and are arbitrary real numbers. Suitably selecting the parameters and , we obtain a new two-mode bosonic realization of the Lie algebra. We also study the squeezing effects of the squeezed vacuum associated with the new two-mode bosonic realization of the Lie algebra. The results show that the new squeezed vacuum does not possess second-order squeezing, but exhibits higher-order squeezing.

Multimode bosonic realization of the su(1,1) Lie algebra

Chi‐Fai Lo, K.L. Liu

We have constructed the multimode bosonic realization of the su(1,1) Lie algebra, on the basis of which the su(1,1) generalized coherent state in the multimode Fock space is derived. It is shown that the multimode coherent state is, in fact, the generalized multimode squeezed vacuum state discussed by Lo and Sollie [Phys. Rev. A 47, 733 (1993)], and that the unitary displacement operator can be identified as the generalized multimode squeezing operator. Hence, similar to the single- and two-mode cases, our multimode bosonic realization of the su(1,1) Lie algebra has immediate relevance to the squeezing properties of boson fields.

New 3-mode bosonic operator realization of SU(2) Lie algebra: From the point of view of squeezing

Cheng Da, Qian-Fan Chen, Hong-Yi Fan

We consider the quantum mechanical SU(2) transformation e 2λ J z J ± e −2λ J z = e ±2λ J ± as if the meaning of squeezing with e ±2λ being squeezing parameter. By studying SU(2) operators ( J ± , J z ) from the point of view of squeezing we find that ( J ± , J z ) can also be realized in terms of 3-mode bosonic operators. Employing this realization, we find the natural representation (the eigenvectors of J + or J − ) of the 3-mode squeezing operator e 2λ J z . The idea of considering quantum SU(2) transformation as if squeezing is liable for us to obtain the new bosonic operator realization of SU(2) and new squeezing operators.

Generalized multi-mode bosonic realization of theSU(1, 1) algebra and its corresponding squeezing operator

Hong‐Chun Yuan, Heng-Mei Li, Hong-Yi Fan

By constructing a generalized multi-partite entangled state representation and introducing the ket-bra integral in this representation, we find a new set of generalized bosonic realization of the generators of the SU (1, 1) algebra, which can compose a generalized multi-mode squeezing operator. This operator squeezes the multi-partite entangled state in a natural way. Then the corresponding multi-mode squeezed vacuum states | r ⟩ is obtained. Based on this, the variances of the n -mode quadratures and the higher-order squeezing in | r ⟩ are evaluated. In addition, we examine the violation of the Bell inequality for | r ⟩ by using the formalism of Wigner representation.

Nonlinear Two-Mode Squeezed Vacuum States as Realization of SU(1,1) Lie Algebra

G. M. Abd Al-Kader, A.‐S. F. Obada

Nonlinear extensions of the two-mode squeezed vacuum states (NTMSVS’s) are constructed and special cases of these states are discussed. We have constructed the NTMSVS’s realization of SU(1,1) Lie algebra. Two cases of the definition are considered for unitary and non-unitary deformation operator functions. Some nonclassical properties of these states are discussed.

The N -mode squeezed state with enhanced squeezing

Xue-xiang Xu, Liyun Hu, Fan Hong-Yi

It is known that exp [iλ ( Q 1 P 1 – i/2)] is a unitary single-mode squeezing operator, where Q 1 , P 1 are the coordinate and momentum operators, respectively. In this paper we employ Dirac's coordinate representation to prove that the exponential operator , is an n -mode squeezing operator which enhances the standard squeezing. By virtue of the technique of integration within an ordered product of operators we derive S n 's normally ordered expansion and obtain new n -mode squeezed vacuum states, its Wigner function is calculated by using the Weyl ordering invariance under similar transformations.
