A Theoretical Scheme for Entanglement Transfer under Intensity-Dependent Couplings

Abstract

We consider a theoretical scheme for entanglement transfer between a two-mode squeezed vacuum field and two initially separable atoms through intensity-dependent couplings. We find that the entanglement transfer between the field and the atoms has an exact period for any given squeezing. We also find that the maximum achievable entanglement of the atomic subsystem is a simple increasing function of r . For sufficiently large squeezing parameter r , it is possible for the atoms to be entangled into a Bell state at half the periodic time points.

Entanglement of two-mode squeezing vacuum state field interacting with atom via intensity-dependent coupling

Gao Yun-feng, Feng Jian

Under the condition of two-mode squeezed vacuum state field interacting with an atom via the intensity-dependent coupling, the degree of entanglement between the two mode fields is investigated by using quantum relative entropy. It is found that the evolution of degree of two-mode fields entanglement is periodic. When the initial field is strong, the degree of entanglement reach maximum at scaled time gt=kπ(k=0,1,2,…),and the different between the maximum and minimum of the entanglement measures is about 1.3 generally. When the initial field is very weak, the influence of atom initial state on the entanglement evolution is sensitive. And the maximum entanglement appears under the situation of atom in a superposition state of upper level and lower level with equal probability. The entanglement of the two mode fields can be adjusted by controlling the time of the atom passing the cavity and the initial state of the atom.

Entanglement Transfer from Pair-coherent States to Two Mixed Atoms

Jin-Hua Zhang

The entanglement transfer from pair-coherent states to mixed atoms with different forms of intensity-dependent coupling is studied. It's found that suitable form of intensity-dependent coupling can enhance the entanglement transfer and makes it evolve periodically.Even for the mixed initial atomic states, the maximum value of entanglement and the periodical evolvement are kept. It's also shown that the photon number difference between the two modes plays a key role. When is odd,the maximum entanglement between the atoms is less than that when is even.

Preparing entangled states of two atoms through the intensity-dependent interaction with the two-mode squeezed vacuum

Fuli Li, Peng Peng, Zhang‐qi Yin

Two four-level atoms resonantly interacting with a two-mode squeezed vacuum field through the intensity-dependent Jaynes–Cummings-like model are considered. It is shown that the atoms can evolve into pure entangled states at certain time. Moreover, the pure entangled states can probabilistically be projected onto extremely entangled states by quantum jump technique. It is shown that the success probability monotonously increases with increasing degree of squeezing without any decoherence processes. However, it is found that if decoherence processes such as atomic spontaneous emission and photon leakage out of the cavity take place, the total success probability first increases but then decreases with increasing degree of squeezing and finally approaches zero as the squeezing becomes stronger and stronger. Therefore, the high degree of squeezing in the initial state of the cavity field is not always helpful for a high probability of creating extremely entangled states when spontaneous emission and cavity decay exist. Given spontaneous emission and photon leakage rates, there is an optimal squeezing degree for which the total success probability becomes maximum.

Nonlinear Interaction and Entanglement Transfer from SU(1,1) Coherent State to Mixed Atoms

Jin-Hua Zhang, Mai-Lin Liang, Yuan Bing +1 more

For nonlinear interactions with different forms of intensity-dependent coupling, entanglement transfer from the correlated two-mode SU(1,1) coherent states (SCS) to the initially separable and mixed atoms is investigated. It is found that suitable intensity-dependent coupling can enhance the entanglement transfer and make the atomic entanglement evolve periodically especially for the initially mixed atomic states. For SCS, the entanglement between the two modes is strengthened with the increase of the photon number difference (PND) between the two modes of the fields. When PND is odd, the entanglement between the atoms is less than that when PND is even.

Evolution of entanglement of two-photon process in the two-mode coherent state field interacting with an atom via intensity-dependent coupling

Zhao Ming

In the process of a two-mode coherent state field interacting with an atom via intensity-dependent coupling, the evolution of entanglement between the atom and field or between the two-mode field is investigated by using quantum reduced entropy and relative entropy respectively. The results show that we can regulate the above mentioned two kinds of entanglement by choosing the system parameters of the initial state,or controlling the action time between the atom and field. The entanglement of the two-mode field will increase or decrease, but it's impossible to disentangle completely. We can get the EPR state and the separable state between the field and atom periodically in the high field conditions(the average photon number of the field is very large).

Evolution of field entropy and entanglement in the intensity-dependent two-mode Jaynes–Cummings model

Gao Yun-feng, Jian Feng, Ji‐Suo Wang

The evolution of the entanglement degree of two-mode fields and atom with the intensity-dependent coupling is investigated using von Neumann entropy. The results for the initial fields in both coherent states and two-mode squeezed vacuum state are calculated. The influence of the field intensity on the entropy is discussed. It is found that the field and atom are generally in maximum entanglement but subject to periodic pulsed disentanglement completely under the condition of strong initial field.
