Evolution of entanglement of two-photon process in the two-mode coherent state field interacting with an atom via intensity-dependent coupling

Abstract

In the process of a two-mode coherent state field interacting with an atom via intensity-dependent coupling, the evolution of entanglement between the atom and field or between the two-mode field is investigated by using quantum reduced entropy and relative entropy respectively. The results show that we can regulate the above mentioned two kinds of entanglement by choosing the system parameters of the initial state,or controlling the action time between the atom and field. The entanglement of the two-mode field will increase or decrease, but it's impossible to disentangle completely. We can get the EPR state and the separable state between the field and atom periodically in the high field conditions(the average photon number of the field is very large).

An exact solution of the problem of two two-level atoms with nondegenerate two-photon transitions and intensitydependent coupling interacting with two-mode radiation field is presented. Asymptotic solution for system state vector is obtained in the approximation of large initial coherent fields. The atom-field entanglement is investigated on the basis of the reduced atomic entropy dynamics. The possibility of the system being initially in a pure disentangled state to revive into this state during the evolution process is shown. Conditions and times of disentanglement are derived.

Preparation and control of entangled states in the two-mode coherent fields interacting with a moving atom via two-photon process

Xiaojuan Liu, Bingju Zhou, Liu Ming-Wei +1 more

We investigate the preparation and the control of entangled states in a system with the two-mode coherent fields interacting with a moving two-level atom via the two-photon transition. We discuss entanglement properties between the two-mode coherent fields and a moving two-level atom by using the quantum reduced entropy, and those between the two-mode coherent fields by using the quantum relative entropy. In addition, we examine the influences of the atomic motion and field-mode structure parameter p on the quantum entanglement of the system. Our results show that the period and the duration of the prepared maximal atom-field entangled states and the frequency of maximal two-mode field entangled states can be controlled, and that a sustained entangled state of the two-mode field, which is independent of atomic motion and the evolution time, can be obtained, by choosing appropriately the parameters of atomic motion, field-mode structure, initial state and interaction time of the system.

Entanglement in the System of Atoms in Bell States Interacting with the Two-mode Entangled Coherent Field Via Two-photon Process

Yongping Li

The entanglement time evolution of atoms in Bell states |β and |β interacting with the two-mode entangled coherent field is investigated by means of full quantum theory and numerical calculations. The effects of the atoms′ initial state, mean photon numbers of field, the degree of the entanglement for the entangled coherent fields, and the coupling strength of interaction between atoms on the entanglement are discussed. The results show that the entropy time evolutions appear regular with the increase of the mean photon numbers of field. The frequency and amplitude of the oscillation decrease with the increase of the coupling strength of interaction between atoms. But when the degree of the entanglement for the entangled coherent fields changes, the frequency and amplitude of the entropy oscillation won′t change.

Evolution of field entropy and entanglement in the intensity-dependent two-mode Jaynes–Cummings model

The evolution of the entanglement degree of two-mode fields and atom with the intensity-dependent coupling is investigated using von Neumann entropy. The results for the initial fields in both coherent states and two-mode squeezed vacuum state are calculated. The influence of the field intensity on the entropy is discussed. It is found that the field and atom are generally in maximum entanglement but subject to periodic pulsed disentanglement completely under the condition of strong initial field.

Quantum entanglement between the two-mode fields and atomic entropy squeezing in the system of a moving atom interacting with two-mode entangled coherent field

Zou Yan, Li Yong-Ping

This paper investigates the entropy squeezing of a moving two-level atom interacting with the two-mode entangled coherent field via two-photon transition by using an entropic uncertainty relation and the degree of entanglement between the two-mode fields by using quantum relative entropy. The results obtained from numerical calculation indicate that the squeezed period, the duration of entropy squeezing and the maximal squeezing can be controlled by appropriately choosing the intensity of the light field, the atomic motion and the field-mode structure. The atomic motion leads to the periodic recovery of the initial maximal degree of entanglement between the two-mode fields. Moreover, there exists a corresponding relation between the time evolution properties of the atomic entropy squeezing and those of the entanglement between the two-mode fields.
