Dynamics of Genuine Three-Qubit Entanglement in Ising Spin Systems

Abstract

We investigate the dynamics of genuine three-qubit entanglement in the Ising model of three spins. A scheme is presented for generating the genuine three-qubit entanglement by the nearest-neighbour couplings. The effect of magnetic fields on the dynamics of genuine three-qubit entanglement is also discussed.

Entanglement and control operations in Ising interactions of bipartite qubits

Francisco Delgado

Entanglement generated by Ising model has been studied for several authors in order to understand the relation between it and magnetic properties of materials, principally using one or two dimensional models for two or more particles. In this work, Ising model evolution is solved in three dimensions for two parts including an inhomogeneous magnetic field, giving an detailed study of the entanglement properties derived from interaction. Some relations between entanglement and energy or spin are developed specifically to stablish candidates for entanglement witness. Finally, some basic quantum control operations are prescripted for this model as to preserve the properties of the system as for transfer information between the two parts. These last schemes of control are useful when initial state is completely known, to gain domain on the system. It prevents to introduce more sophisticated control schemes which normally are necessary when initial state is at least partially unknown.

Dynamics of entanglement in a one-dimensional Ising chain

G. B. Furman, V. Meerovich, Vladimir Sokolovsky

The evolution of entanglement in a one-dimensional Ising chain is numerically studied under various initial conditions. We analyze two problems concerning the dynamics of entanglement: (i) generation of the entanglement from the pseudopure separable state and (ii) transportation of the entanglement from one end of the chain to the other. The model investigated is a one-dimensional Ising spin-1/2 chain with nearest-neighbor interactions placed in an external magnetic field and irradiated by a weak resonant transverse field. The possibility of selective initialization of partially entangled states is considered. It was shown that, in spite of the use of a model with direct interactions between the nearest neighbors, entanglement between remote spins is generated.

Genuine multipartite entanglement in three-qubit XY Z Heisenberg systems

S Luna-Hernández

Abstract Some measures of genuine multipartite entanglement in the three-qubit XYZ Heisenberg model are reported for a system that is embedded in a uniform magnetic field. A quantitative characterization of these measures is accomplished to determine the optimal parameters that provide maximal entanglement.

Coupling effect of nearest-neighbor interacting qubit chains to a single qubit system

Manuel Allan L. Orongan, Lemuel John F. Sese, Rayda P. Gammag

This study establishes a theorem that provides sufficient criteria for identifying terms in any time-independent Hamiltonian that have no influence on local dynamics, local observables, or any local phenomena, without any approximation. The usefulness of this theorem is demonstrated by predicting the behavior of three systems. The first system consists of multiple qubit chains with Ising interactions. The second system is formed by a single qubit chain, differentiated by the substitution of Dzyalonshinskii-Moriya (DM) interaction for the last Ising interaction. The predictions were verified by analytically deriving the reduced dynamics of both systems. A third system was also considered, namely, a short qubit chain with a transverse magnetic field on the intermediary environment qubit. This transverse magnetic field signals that the commutation relation required by our theorem no longer holds. The third system's local dynamics were also derived analytically, demonstrating that all Hamiltonian constituents contributed to the reduced dynamics. The physical consequences of our theorem's inapplicability were also explored using this third system by analyzing the entanglement dynamics between the qubits that do not directly interact. The results showed that the entanglement is caused by an \textit{emergent coupling} between the two non-directly interacting subsystems. This \textit{emergent coupling} arises from the non-commutativity of the intermediate interactions connecting the two subsystems. When searching for these \textit{emergent couplings}, our theorem can eliminate intermediate interactions that will not produce them.

DYNAMICS OF ENTANGLEMENT FOR ONE-DIMENSIONAL SPIN SYSTEMS IN AN EXTERNAL TIME-DEPENDENT MAGNETIC FIELD

Zhen Huang, Sabre Kais

We study the dynamics of entanglement for the XY-model, one-dimensional spin systems coupled through the nearest neighbor exchange interaction and subject to an external time-dependent magnetic field. Using the two-site density matrix, we calculate the time-dependent entanglement of formation between nearest neighbor qubits. We investigate the effect of varying the temperature, the anisotropy parameter and the external time-dependent magnetic field on the entanglement. We have found that the entanglement can be localized between nearest neighbor qubits for certain values of the external time-dependent magnetic field. Moreover, as known for the magnetization of this model, the entanglement shows nonergodic behavior, it does not approach its equilibrium value at the infinite time limit.
