Abstract Some measures of genuine multipartite entanglement in the three-qubit XYZ Heisenberg model are reported for a system that is embedded in a uniform magnetic field. A quantitative characterization of these measures is accomplished to determine the optimal parameters that provide maximal entanglement.
We analyze the XY model characterized by an anisotropy $\ensuremath{\gamma}$ in an external magnetic field, h, with respect to its genuine multipartite entanglement content (in the thermodynamic and finite-size case). Despite its simplicity we show that the quantity---detecting genuine multipartite entanglement through permutation operators and being a lower bound on measures---witnesses the presence of genuine multipartite entanglement for nearly all values of $\ensuremath{\gamma}$ and h. We further show that the phase transition and scaling properties are fully characterized by this multipartite quantity. Consequently, we provide a useful toolbox for other condensed-matter systems, where bipartite entanglement measures are known to fail.
We investigate the thermal entanglement of two-qubit anisotropic Heisenberg XY model in the presence of an external nonuniform magnetic field B along the z-axis. Concurrence, the measure of entanglement is calculated and its property is studied in different cases. Two best models, Ising model under a uniform magnetic and isotropic model in a nonuniform magnetic field, are discovered. In the two models, the critical temperature Tc (above which there is no entanglement) can be enhanced and its concurrence is maximal.
Beyond the simplest case of bipartite qubits, the composite Hilbert space of multipartite systems is largely unexplored. In order to explore such systems, it is important to derive analytic expressions for parameters which characterize the system's state space. Two such parameters are the degree of genuine multipartite entanglement and the degree of mixedness of the system's state. We explore these two parameters for an N-qubit system whose density matrix has an X form. We derive the class of states that has the maximum amount of genuine multipartite entanglement for a given amount of mixedness. We compare our results with the existing results for the N = 2 case. The critical amount of mixedness above which no N-qubit X-state possesses genuine multipartite entanglement is derived. It is found that as N increases, states with higher mixedness can still be entangled.
Abstract Quantifying genuine entanglement is a crucial task in quantum information theory. In this work, we give an approach of constituting genuine m -partite entanglement measures from any bipartite entanglement and any k -partite entanglement measure, 3 ⩽ k < m . In addition, as a complement to the three-qubit concurrence triangle proposed in ( Phys. Rev. Lett. 127 040403), we show that the triangle relation is also valid for any continuous entanglement measure and system with any dimension. We also discuss the tetrahedron structure for the four-partite system via the triangle relation associated with tripartite and bipartite entanglement respectively. For multipartite system that contains more than four parties, there is no symmetric geometric structure as that of tri- and four-partite cases.
