Entanglement dynamics of electron spins in quantum dots under a nonuniform magnetic field

Fengxue Zhou, Yihong Qi, Yueping Niu +3 more

We investigate entanglement of two coupled electron spins in quantum dots (QDs) in the presence of an inhomogeneous magnetic field. The important effects of the inhomogeneous field are discussed for the dynamics of entanglement. Due to the system’s symmetry, the inhomogeneity of the field is shown not to affect the evolution of entanglement for Φ-type Bell state while it plays a key role for Ψ-type Bell state. For the maximal entangled Bell states, the field is positive for the entanglement dynamics. The mean field can increase the entanglement revival for Φ-type Bell state while an inhomogeneous field can promote the entanglement revival for Ψ-type Bell state. For the unentangled initial states, the field is destructive for the entanglement generation induced by the coupling of the two spins.

Extension of Spin Dephasing Time of Millimeter Scale Ensemble NV centers by Suppressing Magnetic and Strain Field Inhomogeneities

Ikuya Fujisaki, Li Zehan, Yuji Hatano +11 more

Quantum magnetic sensors based on nitrogen-vacancy (NV) centers in diamond are expected to be applicable to biological and chemical applications However, their DC magnetic field sensitivity is still insufficient for demanding applications such as magnetoencephalography requiring extraordinary sensitivity. The spin dephasing time 𝑇2∗ is a key parameter to improve the sensitivity, but 𝑇2∗ of typical millimeter-scale NV centers is limited by magnetic field inhomogeneity, strain field inhomogeneity, and electronic spin bath. In this work, we developed (i) a magnet system suppressing both the longitudinal magnetic field and transverse strain field inhomogeneities and (ii) a microwave (MW) and radio-frequency (RF) application system for high-efficiency spin-bath driving (SBD) suitable for a diamond (111) sample.

A Model of Control of an Equation for Two-Electron Interaction

В. И. Соколов

Quantum Schrödinger equation, describing dynamical spin-interaction of two electrons with external magnetic field, is considered as an object for cybernetic research. Indeed, because of having a possibility to change external magnetic field, we can influence the interaction of particles. The algorithm of investigation of the algebraic structure of the spin-system is given. A specification of this algorithm is essentially connected with a control aspect. The spin-system is decomposed into six subsystems by us-ing the found algebraic structure. Five from them are one-dimensional noninteract subsystems. Every from the latter has his own one-dimensional control. 1 Description of the system Let us consider a Schrödinger equation for the spin-state X (t) of two spin-interacting electrons in an external inhomogeneous magnetic field [1] ih̄ d dt
