Abstract

In this paper, the higher-order squeezing of a single mode light field state |ψ>=α|0>+β|m>(m>2) is studied. When m is even integral,we find that it exhibits arbitary higher-order squeezing except second order squeezing. But the higher-order squeezing and antibunchinf; do not appear simultaneously- Thus, we come to a conclusion that higher-order squeezing is a new nonclassicl effect of light field which is independent of second order squeezing and antibunching.

Based on the superposition theory in the quantum mechanics, the nonsymmetry multi-mode Quantum superposition state light field |ψ1f(2)q is constituted by complex conjugate multi-mode coherent state light field \{zj(a)*}q and reversed state |{-Zj(b)*}q of complex conjugate multi-mode coherent state. Multimode higher-order antibunching and squeezing in trio coherent states

Nguyen Ba An

We study the multimode higher-order nonclassical effects of novel trio coherent states. We show that such states exhibit antibunching to all orders in the single-mode case. However, the two-mode higher-order antibunching may or may not exist depending on the parameters. We also show that in such states squeezing is fully absent in both single-mode and two-mode situations. As for the three-mode case, the so-called sum-squeezing is impossible but another kind of squeezing may arise for the orders K that are a multiple of three. The degree of the lowest allowable K = 3 order squeezing can reach a remarkable amount of 18 % . Of interest is the following property: when the order grows, the degree of antibunching increases but that of squeezing decreases.

Study on the Properties of Higher-power Y-squeezing in the SecondKind of Multimode Superposition State Light Field with theSuperposition of Two Quantum State

Xiaowei Han

On the basis of reference 2, the paper probes the squeezing effects of unequal-order higher-power Y-squeezing in the second kind of multimode superposition state light field with the superposition of two quantum state by using the definition of multimode squeezing. It is found that when the the squeezing orders of each mode is even number, the state |Ψ (2) 2 q is always in N j-Y minimum uncertainty state; when the squeezing orders of each mode is odd number, under some conditions the state |Ψ (2) 2 q can also present N j-th power Y-squeezing that changes periodically; the result of reference 2 is only a particular example under the certain condition N j=N of this paper's universal results.

Higher-order nonclassicalities in a codirectional nonlinear optical coupler: Quantum entanglement, squeezing, and antibunching

Kishore Thapliyal, Anirban Pathak, Biswajit Sen +1 more

Higher-order nonclassical properties of fields propagating through a codirectional asymmetric nonlinear optical coupler which is prepared by combining a linear waveguide and a nonlinear (quadratic) waveguide operated by second harmonic generation are studied. A completely quantum mechanical description is used here to describe the system. Closed form analytic solutions of Heisenberg's equations of motion for various modes are used to show the existence of higher-order antibunching, higher-order squeezing, and higher-order two-mode and multimode entanglement in the asymmetric nonlinear optical coupler. It is also shown that nonclassical properties of light can transfer from a nonlinear waveguide to a linear waveguide.
