Multimode higher-order antibunching and squeezing in trio coherent states

Abstract

We study the multimode higher-order nonclassical effects of novel trio coherent states. We show that such states exhibit antibunching to all orders in the single-mode case. However, the two-mode higher-order antibunching may or may not exist depending on the parameters. We also show that in such states squeezing is fully absent in both single-mode and two-mode situations. As for the three-mode case, the so-called sum-squeezing is impossible but another kind of squeezing may arise for the orders K that are a multiple of three. The degree of the lowest allowable K = 3 order squeezing can reach a remarkable amount of 18 % . Of interest is the following property: when the order grows, the degree of antibunching increases but that of squeezing decreases.

Higher-order Nonclassicality in Superposition of Three-mode Photon-added Trio Coherent State

Quang Dat Tran, Ho Sy Chuong, Van Hung Dao +1 more

In this paper, we study some higher-order nonclassical properties of the superposition of three-mode photon-added trio coherent state such as antibunching, squeezing, and entanglement. The results show that in the case with fixed the higher-order, when increasing the numbers of added photons, the manifestation of the higher-order three-mode sum squeezing is more obvious, but the degrees of higher-order antibunching, and higher-order three-mode entanglement are more reduced. Besides, with fixed the numbers of photon addition to the superposition of three-mode photon-added trio coherent state, the higher-order nonclassical properties as antibunching and entanglement are more pronounced, but three-mode sum squeezing is more decreased when increasing the number of the higher-order.

Trio coherent states

Nguyen Ba An, Truong Minh Duc

Novel states called trio coherent states are introduced and studied. It is shown that these states possess inherent nonclassical properties such as sub-Poissonian number distributions and violation of Cauchy-Schwarz inequalities. Concerning squeezing, though the usual multimode squeezing is absent, a new type of higher-order multimode squeezing may occur in a trio coherent state. Finally, an experimental scheme is proposed to generate the introduced trio coherent state.

Higher-order nonclassical and entanglement properties in photon-added trio coherent state

Tran Quang Dat, Truong Minh Duc

This paper studies the higher-order nonclassical and entanglement properties in the photon-added trio coherent state (PATCS). We use the criterion of higher-order single-mode antibunching to evaluate the role of the photon addition operation. Furthermore, the general criteria for detection of higher-order three-mode sum squeezing and entanglement features in the PATCS are also investigated. The results show that the photon addition operation to a trio coherent state can enhance the degree of both the higher-order single-mode antibunching and the higher-order three-mode sum squeezing and enlarge the value of the higher-order three-mode entanglement factor in the photon-added trio coherent state. In addition, the manifestation of the single-mode antibunching and the entanglement properties are more obvious with increasing the higher values of orders.

Higher-order nonclassical properties of nonlinear charge pair cat states

Truong Minh Duc, Dang Huu Dinh, Tran Quang Dat

Abstract The concept of nonlinear charge pair cat states is introduced and their higher-order nonclassical properties are studied. By comparing the nonlinear cases of photon-added states f 2 ( n ) and a laser-driven trapped ion f 3 ( n ) with the linear case f 1 ( n ), it is shown that these states exhibit two-mode higher-order antibunching to all orders and the degree of antibunching depends on the suitable variables, especially on the nonlinear functions. We also show that in such states, the higher-order squeezing appears only in the even orders and the squeezing behaviours for the nonlinear cases f 2 ( n ) and f 3 ( n ) are quite opposite. These states are two-mode genuinely entangled regardless of the nonlinear functions and their entanglement properties are more obvious in the photon-added states f 2 ( n ) case.

Nonclassical photon statistics of two-mode squeezed states

Ching Tsung Lee

The concept of photon antibunching as a manifestation of nonclassical character in single-mode radiation is extended to two-mode radiation. A simple criterion for the existence of nonclassical effects in two-mode radiation is established. It implies that the intermode photon bunching, rather than antibunching, can play a key role in rendering two-mode radiation nonclassical. The two-mode squeezed vacuum states are used as simple examples to illustrate the essential point of the criterion. The criterion is then used to study the nonclassical properties of two types of two-mode squeezed states. A state generated by applying the squeeze operator to the two-mode vacuum first, followed by the displacement operator, is called a two-mode coherent squeezed state. If the order of the two operators is reversed, a two-mode squeezed coherent state is obtained. It is found that the latter has a much stronger tendency to become a nonclassical state than the former, assuming that the parameters involved are all the same. A measure of nonclassical depth of radiation is adopted. It is found that, according to this measure, the effect of squeezing in making two-mode coherent squeezed states nonclassical is not monotonic. Such phenomena do not occur in squeezed coherent states.
