Construction of the Temperley-Lieb algebra from bond algebra: From the transverse-field Ising to the XXZ

Abstract

We show that the Temperley-Lieb algebra is constructed from the generators of the transverse-field Ising-type bond algebra. It is also shown that, when we take the representation of the generators to the one-dimensional transverse-field Ising model, then the Temperley-Lieb algebra constructed on three consecutive bond generators becomes the XXZ model. Furthermore, we obtain several integrable spin systems from other representations for the bond generators.

LATTICE ALGEBRAS AND THE HIDDEN SYMMETRY OF THE 2D ISING MODEL IN A MAGNETIC FIELD

Dan Lévy

Lattice algebras are defined and used to study the symmetries of 2D lattice models. New and interesting examples of such algebras are provided by the affine Hecke algebra, owing to the possibility of constructing braid generators out of its generators. I propose an Ansatz for the braid generators and derive some solutions. A particular finite-dimensional quotient is shown to be a natural generalization of the Temperley-Lieb-Jones algebra. It is used to give a unified picture of known and unknown symmetries of the spin-½ xxz model with boundary terms. The Ising model in an external magnetic field is also a representation of this quotient.

THE TOPOLOGICAL BASIS REALIZATION OF FOUR-QUBIT XXZ SPIN CHAIN

Guijiao Du, Kang Xue, Chunfang Sun +2 more

In this paper, a set of topological basis realization is presented. By acting on the different subspaces, we obtain the new nontrivial six-dimensional (6D) and four-dimensional Temperley–Lieb matrix representations. Then it is shown that XXZ model can be constructed from the Temperley–Lieb algebra (TLA) generators. The eigenstates of XXZ model can be denoted by combinating the set of topological bases. It is interesting that the ground state is closely related to parameter Δ.

XXZ MODEL AND THE STRUCTURE OF SYMMETRICAL ALGEBRA

马中骐, Zhong-Qi Ma, By Hou

In this paper, an XXZ model of the Heisenberg spin chain with the symmetry of the quantum SL(q) (2) enveloping algebra is discussed. In terms of the structure of the Temperley-Lieb algebra, in this model we analyze the finite-dimensional representations of the quantum SL(q) (2) with q(p) = +/- 1 in some detail, including the condition of appearance of the reducible but indecomposable representations (type I representation), their properties, and the complete set of the states related to a definite energy where the new states are obtained by an appropriate limiting process.

The Temperley-Lieb-Jones Algebra and Symmetry Group in Heisenberg Spin Models in One and Two Dimensions

Shao-Ming Fei, Hong Yan

We present a systematic method to construct the spin models of Heisenberg type in higher dimensions with nearest and non-nearest neighbour interactions. These models constructed in this way are of Temperley-Lieb-Jones (TLJ) algebraic structures and -invariances. The TLJ algebra is generalized to adjusting the lattice spin models. The Hamiltonians of Heisenberg spin models in one dimension (including second nearest neighbour interactions) and in two-dimensional triangular lattice (with nearest interaction) are constructed explicitly. The hidden symmetries are shown to be the group, and the terms in Hamiltonian for different lattice cells are explicitly shown to be the representations of elements of (TLJ) algebra.

XXZ Model and the Structure of the Symmetric Algebra

In this paper, an XXZ model of the Heisenberg spin chain with the symmetry of the quantum SL_q(2) enveloping algebra is discussed. In terms of the structure of the Temperley-Lieb algebra, in this model we analyse the finite-dimensional representations of the quantum SL_q(2) with q~p=±1 in some detail, including the condition of appearance of the reducible but indecomposable representations (type Ⅰ representation), their properties, and the completeset of the states related to a definite energy where the new states are obtained by an appropriare limit process.

Temperley-Lieb words as valence-bond ground states

Arndt, P.F., Heinzel, T. (Bonn Univ. (Germany). Physikalisches Inst.), Yung, C.M. (Australian National Univ., Canberra, ACT (Australia). Dept. of Mathematics) +1 more

Based on the Temperley-Lieb algebra we define a class of one-dimensional Hamiltonians with nearest and next-nearest neighbour interactions. Using the regular representation we give ground states of this model as words of the algebra. Two point correlation functions can be computed employing the Temperley-Lieb relations. Choosing a spin-1/2 representation of the algebra we obtain a generalization of the (q-deformed) Majumdar-Gosh model. The ground states become valence-bond states. (orig.)
