Abstract

We investigate the large-distance asymptotic behavior of the static density-density and field-field correlation functions in the one-dimensional Bose gas at finite temperature. The asymptotic expansions of the Bose gas correlators are obtained performing a specific continuum limit in the similar low-temperature expansions of the longitudinal and transversal correlation functions of the $XXZ$ spin chain. In the lattice system the correlation lengths are computed as ratios of the largest and next-largest eigenvalues of the $XXZ$ spin chain quantum transfer matrix. In both cases, lattice and continuum, the correlation lengths are expressed in terms of solutions of Yang-Yang type [C. N. Yang and C. P. Yang, J. Math. Phys. 10, 1151 (1969)] nonlinear integral equations which are easily implementable numerically.

Long-distance behavior of temperature correlation functions in the one-dimensional Bose gas

Karol Kajetan Kozlowski, Jean Michel Maillet, N. A. Slavnov

We describe a Bethe ansatz-based method to derive, starting from a multiple integral representation, the long-distance asymptotic behavior at finite temperature of the density–density correlation function in the interacting one-dimensional Bose gas. We compute the correlation lengths in terms of solutions of non-linear integral equations of the thermodynamic Bethe ansatz type. Finally, we establish a connection between the results obtained in our approach and the correlation lengths stemming from the quantum transfer matrix method.

Integral equations for the correlation functions of the quantum one-dimensional Bose gas

N. A. Slavnov

The large time and long distance behavior of the temperature correlation functions of the quantum one-dimensional Bose gas is considered. We obtain integral equations, which solutions describe the asymptotics. These equations are closely related to the thermodynamic Bethe Ansatz equations. In the low temperature limit the solutions of these equations are given in terms of observables of the model. 1

Correlation functions for one-dimensional bosons at low temperature

Karol Kajetan Kozlowski, J M Maillet, N A Slavnov

We consider the low-temperature limit of the long-distance asymptotic behavior of the finite-temperature density–density correlation function in the one-dimensional Bose gas derived recently in the algebraic Bethe ansatz framework. Our results confirm the predictions based on the Luttinger liquid and conformal field theory approaches. We also demonstrate that the amplitudes arising in this asymptotic expansion at low temperature coincide with the amplitudes associated with the so-called critical form factors.

Computation of Static Heisenberg-Chain Correlators: Control over Length and Temperature Dependence

Jun Sato, Britta Aufgebauer, Herman E. Boos +4 more

We communicate results on correlation functions for the spin-1/2 Heisenberg chain in two particularly important cases: (a) for the infinite chain at arbitrary finite temperature T, and (b) for finite chains of arbitrary length L in the ground state. In both cases we present explicit formulas expressing the short-range correlators in a range of up to seven lattice sites in terms of a single function ω encoding the dependence of the correlators on T (L). These formulas allow us to obtain accurate numerical values for the correlators and derived quantities like the entanglement entropy. By calculating the low T (large L) asymptotics of ω we show that the asymptotics of the static correlation functions at any finite distance are T(2) (1/L(2)) terms. We obtain exact and explicit formulas for the coefficients for up to eight sites.

A note on the spin-½XXZchain concerning its relation to the Bose gas

A Seel, T Bhattacharyya, F Göhmann +1 more

By considering the one-particle and two-particle scattering data for the spin-½ Heisenberg chain at T = 0 we derive a continuum limit relating the spin chain to the 1D Bose gas. Applying this limit to the quantum transfer matrix approach to the Heisenberg chain we obtain expressions for the correlation functions of the Bose gas at arbitrary temperatures.
