Hello all,
my name is Ricky Young and I am part of the qBraid team who will be assisting those in Phase 3 with access to quantum devices.

CREDITS

We have reviewed all teams in the MITRE, WorldBank, and Wells Fargo challenges. Your credits on qBraid have been allocated. If you are missing any please let us know.
RULES:
  1. All teams have been allocated an equal amount to begin with additional simulator testing. Please make sure the circuits you intend to run on more expensive devices such as real hardware are well optimized to ensure that your credits are used efficiently. We would like to note that using pre-built circuit optimization techniques from qiskit and other frameworks is highly encouraged, but should not be the end-all solution. There are many times where gate counts can be reduced upon close inspection.
  2. We will provide more credits to those who use them first batch up. Please just message myself or pranet, our emails are in the org!
  3. Some teams are in multiple challenges and we have separated orgs intentionally, you are only allowed to use the credits allocated to the org / team respectively.

IBM

We have skimmed the Phase 2 proposals / updates and have identified all additional teams who are intending to use IBM. We will coordinate with them shortly (the point person is out of office until Monday).

UPDATES 6/11/25

All participating individuals who we could find registered emails for has been sent an invite to join their respective teams for the challenges. If you have not received an invite to your team, please contact a teammate (single participants have all been identified) and have them add you to the org on qBraid.

CREDITS

In doing so, please make sure to accept the invite and we will allocate credits to the teams over the next 1 ~ 2 days.

IBM

If you are a team who is interested in using IBM, please make sure to respond IN THIS THREAD. We will connect you with the IBM team who will provide instructions on exclusive access to their devices.

How to use credits

Further, on qBraid we recommend using our qBraid SDK to run devices. If you have any questions on how to use it please let me know.

Secret devices?!

We may release some exciting new devices for you guys to try if it fits to be compelling and apt for the specific device. Stay tuned!

Hi Ricky,
On behalf of my team, I would like to confirm that we’ve successfully joined our qBraid organization and accepted the invitation. We’re currently using the qBraid platform with IBM devices, and we truly appreciate the credits provided.
We’re also very nterested in accessing IBM’s devices for the challenge — specifically the Heron or Falcon QPUs if available — and we would love to explore any “secret” devices that might be released during the event.

Hi, my name is Jacinta, and my team (DelphiQ) would very much like to use IBM devices, with potential interest in the secret devices. Specifically, we would like to request IBM Heron r2 QPU access with Black Opal for Error Correction. Let us know how we can have access to this. Thanks!

I do not believe I received an email from qBraid; I was moved forward in the MITRE challenge.
Note - I am interested in using IBM to develop my solution and secret devices
