Hi everyone! My name is Pranet, I'm also a part of the qBraid team, and will be working with Ricky to ensure that you are all set up with qBraid and quantum device access.

Hi Pranet, would you be able to verify our team (DelphiQ) has been allocated the necessary credits in qBraid? We require: at least 64 Core (equivalent of 16 node with 4 cores per node) CPU cluster, and T4 GPU with 15 GB of VRAM or 2x 8GB of VRAM, and at the moment we are having difficulty accessing this. Let me know how we could access our requirements for this phase of the challenge. Thanks, Jacinta

Hi Vlad, our policy is that when you use up your credits, we can refresh them as needed. Make sure that you are using AWS credits for your challenge!

Thanks. I have question regarding the Academic affiliation session for "application form". It seems the choice of the affiliation is only limited to the given choices. May I know how would I enter the the affiliation or company that is not on the lists?

CREDITS
We have reviewed all teams in the MITRE, WorldBank, and Wells Fargo challenges. Your credits on qBraid have been allocated. If you are missing any please let us know.
RULES:
RULES:
- All teams have been allocated an equal amount to begin with additional simulator testing. Please make sure the circuits you intend to run on more expensive devices such as real hardware are well optimized to ensure that your credits are used efficiently. We would like to note that using pre-built circuit optimization techniques from qiskit and other frameworks is highly encouraged, but should not be the end-all solution. There are many times where gate counts can be reduced upon close inspection.
- We will provide more credits to those who use them first batch up. Please just message myself or pranet, our emails are in the org!
- Some teams are in multiple challenges and we have separated orgs intentionally, you are only allowed to use the credits allocated to the org / team respectively.
IBM
We have skimmed the Phase 2 proposals / updates and have identified all additional teams who are intending to use IBM. We will coordinate with them shortly (the point person is out of office until Monday).

All participating individuals who we could find registered emails for has been sent an invite to join their respective teams for the challenges. If you have not received an invite to your team, please contact a teammate (single participants have all been identified) and have them add you to the org on qBraid.
CREDITS
In doing so, please make sure to accept the invite and we will allocate credits to the teams over the next 1 ~ 2 days.
IBM
If you are a team who is interested in using IBM, please make sure to respond IN THIS THREAD. We will connect you with the IBM team who will provide instructions on exclusive access to their devices.
How to use credits
Further, on qBraid we recommend using our qBraid SDK to run devices. If you have any questions on how to use it please let me know.
Secret devices?!
We may release some exciting new devices for you guys to try if it fits to be compelling and apt for the specific device. Stay tuned!

Hi Ricky,
I am new to qBraid and was surprised to learn that more than 500 credits were used up when I ran a Pytorch notebook that uses GPU (no QPU). I noticed that just spinning up a lab and browsing without running the notebook can use these credits which the FAQ says as much: "Credits are consumed based on the computing resources and time you use on the platform."
I am wondering if there are any tips to manage the costs, and if there is predictable costs with running the same notebook. Of course I would test this myself but I am afraid I don't have enough credits.

Yes on qBraid GPUs do cost credits and you can check the pricing , but don't worry, we will provide enough credits for your teams to run on both QPUs and GPUs to effectively get results.
If you are interested in running a notebook without any credit usage I would recommend using the free compute instance. For running a notebook which requires pytorch, you can opt to use the CPU compiler, reduce the batch size etc to get a rough estimate of the results.

- IQM Garnet is currently down, will it be back online before the competition deadline?
- Do we need to get an IonQ API key to run the IonQ devices with QBraid? Will billing be deducted from the IonQ account or QBraid credits?

Given that it is a brand new process for them, they would like everyone to submit their forms and provide access in a batch. Please make sure to submit the form. If you still need access, please respond to this message so we can get an estimate of how many teams are left.
Also, for those using qBraid devices, how is it going? Have you been able to run jobs on the devices? Please comment on any troubleshooting or bugs with the qBraid SDK so we can make sure you get the results you need!
