hey there,
I am Shivansh -- I am here because of my interest in Quantum Computing( particularly in Algorithms, Cryptography and Compiler& Transpiler ).
Currently, I am a sophomore student of Computer Science.
Other than Quantum Computing I also have interest in Competitive Programming.
I have built two projects till now related to Quantum Computing, one is a small research project sort of, where we try reconstructing a Quantum State only using its density matrix, which is an exponential TC task but we try to fasten that up using QML, in this project I got to learn about HHL and how it provide exponential speed up with its own limitations.
The other project was also a lab project in collaboration with my institute's ECE dept although it has been on a halt since November due to some unforeseen circumstances. Although it was about simulating Noise in a Q.C. and using Error Correcting qubits to deal with it, regardless we are yet to make any significant progress in the same.
Other than that I have explored and implemented all the major Quantum Algorithms like Shor's Algorithm, Grover Search Algorithm, Simon's Algorithm, Deutsch Algorithm, Deutsch-Josza Algorithm and Bernstein-Vazirani Algorithm.
I have also explored and learnt about BB-84, E-91 protocols used for Quantum Cryptography.
Other than this I have explored Quantum Information theory learning about the classical ( Shanon ) and Quantum ( Von-Neuman ) Entropies.
My interest in QC was mainly due to my initial background in linear algebra which I prepared to learn ML but chose to continue with QC anyway, also my previous interests in Modern Physics especially Relativity, Nuclear Physics and Quantum Physics. ( Haven't done anything in the prior two ).
Institute: Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee.
Branch: Computer Science and Engineering.
I am here mainly to learn and network with folks having similar interests.
