Abstract

By constructing the recovery operations of the protocol of remote implementation of partially unknown quantum operation of two qubits [An-Min Wang: Phys. Rev. A 74 (2006) 032317] with two-qubit Cnot gate and single qubit logic gates, we present a scheme to implement it in cavity QED. Long-lived Rydberg atoms are used as qubits, and the interaction between the atoms and the field of cavity is a nonresonant one. Finally, we analyze the experimental feasibility of this scheme.

Quantum search with two-atom collisions in cavity QED

We propose a scheme to implement the two-qubit Grover's quantum search algorithm using cavity quantum electrodynamics. In this scheme long-lived electronic states in circular Rydberg atoms are used as quantum bits (qubits). The atoms interact with the electromagnetic field of a nonresonant cavity. The quantum gate dynamics is provided by a cavity-assisted collision. We present the detailed procedure and analyze the experimental feasibility.

A SCHEME FOR REALIZATION OF TWO-QUBIT LOGIC GATES IN CAVITY QED

Bao‐Long Fang, Hong-Bo Wan, Ye Liu

We propose a simple scheme for realizing two-qubit logic gate in cavity QED. In our scheme, the quantum controlled-not gate, phase gate and swap gate can be implemented without the ancillary level. The quantum controlled-not gate and phase gate can be realized easily by only one interaction between atoms and a highly detuned cavity mode with the assistance of a strong classical field. Thus, the scheme is insensitive to both the cavity decay and the thermal field.

Implementing Remote Controlled Not Gate of the Coherent State Cavity Field and Entanglement Swapping Via Cavity QED

Zheng Shi-cai

Proposes a new scheme, which is based on the non-resonance interaction between the Ξ-type three-level atom and the coherent state cavity field,to implement remote controlled-not gate of the coherent cavity field and entanglement swapping without Bell-state measure via the CNOT gate of atom and cavity. In this process, since the cavity field does not exchange energy with the atoms, thus the decoherence due to the decay of the cavity can be effectively suppressed. So the protocol is experimentally feasible based on the current cavity QED technique.

Protocol and quantum circuit for implementing theN-bit discrete quantum Fourier transform in cavity QED

Hong‐Fu Wang, Xiao‐Qiang Shao, Yongfang Zhao +2 more

We present a simple protocol and quantum circuit for efficient implementation of the N-bit discrete quantum Fourier transform by using two-qubit controlled-NOT gate and SWCZ gate that is a combination of -SWAP and controlled-Z gates in cavity quantum electrodynamics. In this protocol long-lived electronic states in circular Rydberg atoms are used as quantum bits and the one-bit and two-bit quantum gate operations required for implementing the discrete quantum Fourier transform in the quantum circuit can be easily achieved with atom–microwave resonant interaction and atom–cavity interaction occurring only between two nearest-neighbour atoms. We present the detailed experimental procedure and analyse the experimental feasibility.
